Wish I had a $1 for some of the stuff I witnessed like this in the NYC subway system. Not to make fun of the mentally ill, but with her screaming like that someone should stick a dick in her mouth to shut her up.

Groups of people are useless, they will do anything to avoid involving themselves. About a month ago, I got on the train and this guy is leaned back on a seat with his legs resting on three others. He has his eyes wide open and is motionless. I think he may be dead. There are other people who were already on the train though so I figure they may have already checked. After a while though, I realize most of the train is staring at him. At this point, I'm telling myself that I shouldn't be a pussy and should just tap him on the shoulder and see if he's ok. Half of me wants to ignore it, but the other half is like wtf is wrong with you, he could be dead, but you're too scared to be the one to check (I wasn't even really scared of him being dead, I was more scared of making a spectacle of myself). After a while a woman gets on her phone and is talking to someone about possible dead dude, and I realize enough is enough. I walk over to him put my hand on his shoulder and give it a little shake. No respose. I'm pretty scared now and wait another second before I try again. At that moment he springs out of his seat, and looks at me. I'm relieved he's not dead, but I still feel like I owe him an explanation for waking him up, so I just say,"Hey man just wanted to check you were ok, you were sleeping in a weird way." He just shrugs and says, "I'm just really tired." He proceeds to go back to sleep in his dead man position, and I watch in astonishment as passengers who get on the train continue to stare at him for a while concerned he could be dead, but no one ever checks for the rest of the trip.

The OP type incident with an otherwise normal looking person really only happens in front of me 2 or 3 times a year at most.
With homeless dudes screaming about god, it happens about once every 3 weeks or so.
This type of thing is more common in my experience (maybe 1 every 2-3 weeks):
