There are 24 blue marbles of 100. What is the probability of drawing 25 blue marbles out of 60 tries? I believe the answer should be .0011. I am blanking on how to actually get to this. There is replacement after each pull.
Sorry no stakes. Do it out of the kindness of your cold black heart. -
This is easy! There is a 0% chance of drawing 25 blue marbles out of 60 tries when there are 24 blue marbles out of 100.

Who's buried in Grant's tomb?

it's (60! / (25! * 35!)) * ((.24 ** 25) * (.76 ** 35))

Maybe it still wasn't obvious to him. Hopefully my answer above shed a little more light on it. To elaborate for OP just a bit more, you need to find the number of ways to get exactly 25 blue marbles out of 60 "pulls", which is C(60, 25) [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Combination]. Then you need to multiply that by the probability which is the (.24 ^ 25) * (.76 ^ 35) bit -- 24/100 * 24/100 * 24/100 and so forth for 25 marbles, then 76% probability for the remaining 35 "pulls".
