BILL MAHER: I hope Sarah Palin gets in so that they split the MILF vote.

I know this would have been a thread right away if the Right's equivalent of this windbag made similar comments about a Democrat but I was just curious what the official Liberal response is to this hateful drivel.

You know, the kind of speech that always has all the OT Libs up in arms about how racist, sexist, and backwards Conservatives, Southerners, and other right leaning groups can be.

My favorite part is how he suggests that the same America that elected a Junior Senator with no experience to be POTUS who happened to be black would be capable of electing someone who he suggests is illiterate because he.....happens to be black???!!!!!

Also, is he trying to scare people away from Bachmann because she might turn out to be just like Ronald Reagan (lol)? Cool strategy bro......

I think Maher is a worthless, douchey piece of garbage, but I don't think this is all that inflammatory. If he was on fire, I'm not sure I'd even piss on him to save his life.

Just throwing this out there but I love how Maher on each and every of his shows invites somebody from the right just to get a different perspective as opposed to almost any other political program (left or right)

I just went to Hannity's website, front and center were advertisements for working from home and cash for gold.

And I tried watching Hannity and O'Reilly, but they're just not as entertaining as Maher. Plus I refuse to watch FoxNews, I'll admit that I'm liberal and lets move on.

And to answer your question about how liberals think about Maher, I think he is very entertaining and he is smart. I enjoyed Religulous and I am aligned with the majority of his opinions. I also think he can go way over the top, for example in the OP; I believe he is 100% correct, that doesn't mean you need to add in the extra theatrics as it takes away from what is a very sound argument. He also annoys me in that he needs to make a reference to smoking pot in every single episode of Real Time, we get it you smoke up and you sound like a 13 year old who just bought his first dime bag every time you reference it.

I'm ashamed to admit that when i was 13-14 I used to like him (agreed with him on things like ending drug war) and watched politcally incorrect alot but then I grew up learned a couple things and realized this smug little midget is pretty clueless when it comes to political theory and geopolitics.

Its entertainment folks...and Jets..I always thought being a conservative meant ignoring what others say and promoting what you have to offer.

Actually, I think the fact that he frequently tears into members of his own party is why I do watch him and John Stewart. I mean this in a non dickbag kind of way, but are there any shows on the right that do the same? I would be very interested in watching them.
