Just a couple bizarre incidents that I would like to note out that have occurred recently.
Just a couple of weeks ago, T-Mobile and Microsoft's data servers for the sidekicks crashed and user's personal data was, for the most part, lost.
Facebook within the last week, had server issues that locked out and potentially lost data for over 150,000 users.
For the first time in recent history (couple of years), apple.com had a server crash that shutdown their homepage for a couple of hours leaving no traces that the site even existed.
Within the last 3 weeks, pokerstars has had several server crashes that have left players in the dark, which is a seemingly rare incident.
I am sure there have been other minor occurrences too. I find it very odd that all of this has basically happened in the last 1-3 weeks. That and it has happened to companies that specialize in IT management, server technology and security, and have never really had incidents to this effect before. Strange? I know last year that the conficker worm was a hot topic and was supposed to be able to overtake the computer world basically. Could this be the start? -
The US government is preparing for its takeover of the internet.
