LDM, i may not be the brightest, but I'm smart enough to see a fight as a brawl between two strange dudes that I could care less about.
You, on the other hand, appear to have a swollen vagina for Fedor and would love to leave a snail trail on his lap. homo. -
gay is the new straight, haven't you heard?
post less, IMO. -
the problem with that logic is this. It would be like taking Mike Tyson in his prime in the late 80s and saying. instead of being the ibf/ibo/wbc champ now. we are going to move you to the WBO and keep you fighting the best we can in the WBO. Sure he is still owning everyone, and the ppl are ok. But its not what he was fighting.

Plus he could keep the title longer. Hey maybe they can add a senior tour soon so he can keep being the best fighter ever into his 60s.
Look I like Fedor he is a great fighter. I just want him and every other top fighter to fight each other. The problem is under the current system. unless you are lucky to have the top 3 or 4 in the same company it isnt going to happen. -
Fedor's body of work >>>>> Anyone else's body of work
therefore he's the best heavyweight.
in the last 4 years who's had more impressive fights than Fedor? Tim "The Turd" Silvia? it basically boils down to the heavies having the shittiest division.
IMO
LHW>LW>MW>WW>HW -
You also gotta look at the issue of fighting in a cage...It works to the advantage of the wrestlers who can pin them up against the cage and pound them out (see Lesnar Mir 2)...Coleman held Fedor down for a little while but didn't have a cage to help use leverage...Lesnar fighting Fedor in a cage gives Lesnar a big advantage...I don't think Fedor could handle being pinned against the cage...But that's my opinion and sadly we will prolly never find out.

Fedor obv couldnt deal with brocks wrestling. lmfao -
greatEST is a superlative term. it shows value above or rank order.

yes Brock knows how to wrestle. but he has won 4 matches by size alone.
Great size, good wrestler, weak striker, shitty subs. -
Sigh you got me back in the thread. I would have been fine with everything in this post until the the bolded part. You know he is a great wrestler. I do know that his size has a lot to do with that, but come on, to try and seperate the two and act like he isn't a world class wrestler is sad. The dude has some of the best wrestling in the world and I could give two craps that that is partly due to his size.

Do I think that Brock is lb for lb as good as Fedor? No. I know that on fightnight there could easily be a 40-50lb difference.
One last thing, I hate you guys for making me back Brock. You can ask AStaggs. I hate that mofo.
edit: As for weak striker, there is no doubt that Fedor has better stand-up and that Brock is not a technically good striker, but I have a hunch that he has retarded heavy hands and I gotta believe if he lands flush your dundy. -
Yeah Brock would probably fuck Fedor up in a wrestling match.
edit:
I'm quite confident that when Fedor lands flush you're dundy. -
Agree 100%. And I know there is more to MMA than wrestling, but I just think Brock would be able to get him to the ground and keep him there. Obv just my opinion, but he seems overwhelming big/strong/technical (wrestling obv) to me.
-
Yes, but no one has been discrediting Fedor's power...I honestly think Brock would beat Fedor cause of his power on the ground, and his top control...Could Brock get caught with either a sub or KO?? Absolutely, but his last fight with Mir was borderline scary with the top control he showed, and last time I checked Mir is no slouch on the ground.
-
There it is right there, if Brock gets on top he's an animal. If Fedor can defend the takedown and keep it standing, well he's got an iron chin and hands of stone.
Fedor is much better on the ground than Brock is standing though. He spent a ton of time on the ground with Noguiera in their 3 fights and fared well, obv Brock presents a differant challenge but Fedor's ground game is excellant. -
All very valid points...also elbows from the top could be a concern for Fedor as he is known to cut very easily...

The only way Lesnar would beat Fedor would be in a sports entertainment wrestling match. Seriously Fedor has beaten better wrestlers than brock, and did it on the ground. Fedor has beaten larger and stronger opponents than Brock as well.
-
If you think Lesnar doesn't have a more than a decent shot of beating Fedor you just need to kill yourself...
-
Oh hi. Great contribution. Well founded with good information. I get it. Brock was in the WWE or some other wrestling entertainment company. Therefore he must not be a real athlete.
-
Absolutely an athlete, but he's the 2nd best hw.
-
Fedor has beaten bigger stronger men than Brock. Fedor has beaten better wrestlers than Brock. Fedor has beaten better BJJ fighters than Brock.
Fedor has never fought anyone as large and all-around skilled as Brock, there are only 4 people in MMA that can make that claim. -
1st off, FE is so obv the best HW out there, is u dont agree your a idiot.
LOL at the guy who said Mir would beat FE, loooooooooooooollllllllooooooooooolll.
BR is legit, he landed 4 shots, one standing, the other 3 when he had top control that wouldve KOd just about any1, and did well rolling out of Fedors armbar attempt. It just sukd for him that he was fighting a man w/ lightning quick hands(for a HW), an iron chin, and a shit ton of experience.
I, personaly dont even want to see a Fedor vs Lesnor fight yet. I want to see Fedor fight( and beat) AO first, and see Lesnor fight Carwin, and then JDS. If they both win those fights, which would proly b at least 6 months from now, then we could be certain that we would have the 2 bet HWs fighting each other.
