they didnt kick you out or anything? freaking awesome, i blame it on the shot of jameo we did.
do you remember that guy giving me the free ticket to the game? you also didnt see me puke a little bit in the stands...ooopppssss.
also being really drunk in an airport was pretty fun, i forgot to take my beads off and the tsa guy was just laughing at me (which was surprising) he had to know i was drunk.
come on admiral, like we dont got game (dots)
hughes is a good time, hang out with him if you can. i guess just dont let him try to play catch up with captain and cokes -
Sorry I missed all the fun. Stayed home to watch on TV and fell asleep. Woke up in time for the post game of the first game, so I guess I remember as much as Hughes.
-
haha it sure was wild.
I do remember all of our activity pregame...did you see that guy at the park?
I think we both have pretty good game..Denver girls are pretty fine too
good times. cool people for my first Internet meet-up -
Meeting people from the internet is lame
-
Thanks. I contribute where I can
IMHO Hughes passing out at the baseball game has been underrated by OT. Should be 20 pages deep by now -
haha. then I had a cheeseburger and a coca-cola and my bankroll is intact.
actually visited boulder today and explored some red rocks and got some good views of the mountains..heck of a place -
Glad you made it up to boulder, haha that altitude will really get you. I was up at the seats for like 20 minutes before I figured you probably weren't coming back.
Overal good day -
for a good hike hit up bear peak from eldorado springs. its a moderately challenging hike but the views from the top are incredible.
-
Motion to rename the foul pole Hughes Nap Corner. Which corner was it? Mustve got a nasty sunburn now huh?
-
right field. like admiral said i think he was out in 10 minutes. i called him and he said "fuck it, ill come by you...i dont think hes coming back"
then we proceeded to call him a few more times to no avail. good stuff. -
lol I got a sunburn but that was from the 3 innings I watched.. I mean, the nap was up in the corridor. just geographically near the right field line.
I went again tonight & saw CarGo jack 3 homers. good stuff~
PS. hot dog, nachos, two cokes..down about a buy-in -
Lucky you weren't drinking craft beers you might be broke by now.
-
I was at the game last night too. Are you still in town?
-
nope. flew out yesterday..Denver gets an A+ recommendation from me.
-
Moving to the Metro in August, should be a really good year. I'll be right in the middle of downtown if any OTers come through.

My gf and i are thinking of packing up and moving to Denver. There, or Austin, or Nola, or Houston. Never been to denver. I've been to copper mountain once but that's the closest I've gotten. I'm an engineering graduate and she just graduated in secondary education. You coloradoers would recommend denver? yay or nay?

I can't think of anything I don't love about CO

CO is the best state in the union. I'm not partial to people so living in any city would be a nightmare for me but Denver has some really cool spots in it

Denver is my favorite place in the US. Engineering jobs are plentiful as well. We can not frack wells fast enough and the oil and gas industry in going through the roof. Over half of my friends are transplants that just picked up and moved to Denver and now they all consider it home.

The only thing you might not like being from La is the lack of an ocean so our fish are smaller, mostly trout, but we have plans to be waterfront once cali drops so its just a waiting game.

I crave the beach now and then but otherwise its juuuust riiiight. We could use a bigger lake like lake tahoe also.
Just nitpicking things you may need to adjust to. Colorado is awesome. Did anyone mention theres no humidity here, usually?
Lots of people move here from there so theres probably a solid Saints bar out there somewhere. They celebrate mardi gras in some places here too, like Breckenridge. "You people" are my favorite fun friendly american tourists so i welcome more of you! (Aussies and kiwis for foreigners are the biggest party to merge with at bars.)
we also need more fish at the casinos who arent asian so welcome! -
Aussies are out of control
Mountains > Beach -
I think the mountains are way better to have in your backyard and the beach is way better to visit on a vacation. It would probably be different if I grew up on a beach but whenever I visit the beach it is always so much fun, and with the mountains it never gets boring and you never run out of new things to do.
-
Yes! They meet alllll the chicks in any bar so if you want to have a chance be there. Otherwise you look like a boring American. Gg.
