Okay so I just got a call from a local mexican restaurant that some woman calling themself "winter" made a take out order that cost $35 and gave my phone number. I don't know if this is a joke or a mistake. However, the guy said that if nobody pays for it then he has to pay for it himself.
This really pisses me off. "winter" doesn't really mean anything to me. The only thing I can think of is I dated a girl for like 3 months this winter, we broke up like 3 months ago.
I feel really bad for this guy. I don't need $35 worth of mexican food, but I feel like I should just go get it and eat it later so the poor guy doesn't have to pay for it himself.
WWYD? -
Really? This is not hard man. You sit on your ass and not do shit. If he works there, he will eat it or put it under a heat lamp and serve it to some sucker later on.

way to make a miscommunication of phone numbers into a national crisis
i think you may need to call scotland yard on this one -
If the restaurant is that pressed about $35 maybe they should call the number back to verify the order before they cook the food.

It sounds pretty illegal to force employees to pay for prank orders, so lets assume that since the person you were talking to had to pay for it, it was probably the owner of the restaurant.
$35 worth of food probably cost $10 to make. Since he has to pay for it, he also get to eat it, so he gets to eat $35 worth of food for only $10. You have just made him $25. -
i got prank called about an hour ago, number came up from my parents house(using that phone app where you can type what number caller ID shows), and when i answered it, someone with a voice changer said they were in my house and had my family held captive, they also said they kidnapped my dog (who was kidnapped a few years ago and was then retreived) and had sex with it, i told them that if they went through all the trouble of kidnappping the animal the least they could do was fuck it, and they should do the same with my family, that kinda caught them off guard and they said, you're no fun to prank, and hung up... still not sure who that was

Big Boy where i live takes money from the server/waitress when customers change orders/don't want food. Sounds illegal to me but i've seen it done.

maybe pay for cost, since you paying $35 would be him making profit. win win, you get cheap food, prankster loses, and homedude doesnt lose money.
-
They called back like 15 min later and said the food got picked up. Yeah I overreacted. I just felt bad for the dude if he was going to have to pay for the food.
-
obv pay for the food and give the guy a big tip for the trouble.
-
whew. i can go to sleep now
colonel, take us back down to DEFCON 2 -
Yeah yeah it wasn't that big of a deal. I just really thought it was probably a prank and other people shouldn't have to pay for my friends being idiots. I also really like this certain restaurant (El Caporal, Bend, Oregon) so I was thinking it wouldn't be a total loss.

your face is horrible advice
-
lol @ that guy actually having to pay for the food.
-
i think this is a hidden brag on young nubile latin dudes trying to pick you up over the phone.but what do i know? i am straight.
