    Well today was one of the warmest of the year so far and it got me looking forward to festivals again this summer. I usually make it to at least 2 every summer. Festivals are pretty much the greatest thing on Earth. I mean getting wasted all day and every night for like 4 days straight with random strangers, listening to your favourite bands every day, sleeping rough in the sunshine etc. Who doesn't fucking love rock festivals?

    This summer I have tickets for Rock AM ring in Germany. Its the biggest rock festival in Europe and its line up is boner inducing. 150 000 crazy Euros going mental.

    Queens Of The Stone Age

    Filter

    etc

    I am also considering going to Oxegen, Pukkelpop, Electric Blanket and a few others but I'm not sure yet.

    What festivals are you looking forward to this summer? Either considering going to or already have tickets for. Who is playing? Where is it etc....

    I'm going to Bonnaroo in Tennessee in June with a friend. The headliners are Pearl Jam, Metallica, Jack Johnson, and Kanye West but I also plan on seeing the following acts there:

    Robert Plant & Alison Krauss

    Chris Rock (doing standup)

    The Allman Brothers Band

    The Raconteurs

    Wille Nelson

    DJ Tiesto

    Death Cab for Cutie

    BB King

    Iron and Wine

    Derek Trucks & Susan Tedeschi

    and a ton of other bands.

    Also around July 4th I believe I'm driving to Madison, Wisconsin to visit some friends and there I will go to summerfest and see John Mayer and Tom Petty

    Wikipedia says that the main stage has the capactity for 100,000 people but they limited ticket sales to 80,000 last year (which sold out)

    my favorite festival is hands down, All Good. The small venue is awesome, trip and emily, the owners of the farm, are fucking bad ass, and I always seem to end up running into people that get me stage side for a lot of the show and the drugs down there are of better quality in mass then a large one like bonaroo

    the lineup this year is sick... but they need an addition like STS9, Galactic, Umphrey's Mgcee, and some hip hop imo

    Wow, you posting that makes me feel so very old & out of the loop. I've heard of exactly 2 of those bands (Gym Class Heroes and Reel Big Fish)...Either I need to get out more (probable) or that festival lineup is pretty lame.
