Good to see Fiona is still alive. I had a school boy crush on her back in highschool. How was Modest Mouse and Built to Spill? Love both those bands and always put on a great show. Beck is a legend. I met him at an art show years back. (yes I am bragging)

I never really listened to them much until a few weeks before the show, but I was really impressed (same goes for The Jezabels and Freelance Whales).Originally Posted by Z-Fresh

Beck stole it though (to no surprise). He's back with the same lineup that he had during the Sea Change years and played a bunch of stuff off that. Had a really cool effect going from 4 or so mellow Sea Change songs right into Devil's Haricut and Loser. -
Will post my review and some shitty cell pics of the stage etc in the morning, but great show and a fucking honor to see Alice live. 18 is about as tight a live metal number as you'll find - don't get there late kev cause he opens with it.
Any OTers downtown right now that ski - pm me in the next 15 before it's too late. -
Eddie Money rocked last month, LOL his kid was on stage in 1992ish as a tot and was his drummer in June.
Mike Grimm was fun Thursday.
Foreigner on Saturday. -
String Cheese Incident Thursday Night at Red Rocks...best live show at the best venue.
-
Aerosux will not get one more dollar of mine. The Toxic Twins owe me twenty plus juice since 1979.
-
Saw Slightly Stoopid a few years back at the Hard Rock pool. They were pretty fuckin awesome!

Haven't looked at the set list because I like a little surprise but I can't begin to say how pumped I am to see "The Evil That Men Do" live and like 99% sure they'll play "Fear of the Dark" which is one of the best live songs ever IMO. I also know they aren't playing Hallowed which sucks but they are playing Phantom as Nicko said this in his interview last week. Bummed about Hallowed but love Phantom so that's about a wash.
2 days! -
is maiden tonight? saw them about 6yrs ago at hammerstein so sick had backstage passes too but the only one that came out after was yani or yanic fuck its been so long i forgot his name but he was the one who gave my buddy the tix so he did his photo thing with the others and hung out with us
went to orion festival on the 23rd of june it was pretty good show saw gaslight anthem, gary clark jr, artic monkeys and metallica headlined both nights playing all of ride the lightening sat night and all of the black album on sunday rest of setlist was identical tho which sucked but still always a great show -
Strongly considered making a trip to the Orion festival. The thought of hearing RTL in it's entirety was so tempting. Must have been sick to hear Trapped Under Ice and Escape (two of my favorite songs from metallica) songs they never would play live otherwise not to mention how awesome live songs like Call of Ktulu, fight fire with fire, ride the lightning etc are.

I hate the black album so much though and had zero interest in seeing that. If they played Puppets or Kill em all or Justice the 2nd night I'd have gone for sure. -
Def Leppard/Poison tonight in Nashville! Get Hype!
-
Will do, was just excited to post. Had some friends saw them in Salt Lake a few weeks ago and said it was super good.
-
If it was his son Zach Money I umpired his little league game a little over 20 years ago with Eddie in the stands.
-
Alice Cooper ripped - played a short but very tight set, and like I said before, don't come in late cause he is must see. Don't want to run spoilers for kev, but you will love the set. Highlights of the Maiden set imo were:
3) The Trooper
2) Run To The Hills
1) by a mile Number of the Beast
Alice getting ready to face the guillotine:

Will post more pics later, but looks like I gotta figure out how to resize cause I'm a fuckin retard

+1 Flaming Lips being awesome live. Does he get in that inflatable ball at every show? He brought it down here last year

My boy JDub took this video of the light show from the Maiden concert we hit Monday night.

Rest of review - only criticism is that I'm not a huge fan of Maiden using the 3rd guitarist on stage; plus the guy was doing this toolish think where he just hung his leg up on a prop at about a 90 degree angle while he played.
On the other hand, Steve Harris is god and has lost zero off the fastball.

Sickkkkkkkk one of my favorite songs by them and the lights coordinating with the guitar is amazing. They go all out live and do it at a legit price too so awesome. Nicko was saying basically that they make plenty of money all over the world so the one thing they do to give back is keep their ticket prices down. I think that's great seeing as they'd sell out at any ticket cost. Not many bands like that anymore.

Scream for me Chicagooooooooooooooooo -
Saw Def Leppard Tuesday night here in Nashville, and it was GREAT! They still sound so tight and so good. Was not tracked like I thought may happen. Joe Elliot can still sing.
We left there still singing the songs a day later.
Poison was "meh". Brett was Hoarse, but was still entertaining.
If the Rock of Ages tour is coming to your town, go see it! -
I took this off Youtube.. NO way Joe can still sing... Not a hater. LOve Def Leppard.. But listen to him.
-
Not to mention their drummer sounds about as good as a drummer with one arm

I am still considering Def Leppard they are coming by in two weeks but originally didn't make my cut (spent sooooo much already lol). They are playing indoors in July though, wtf why not play outside in the summer? -
They are comin to Jersey next week with Poison and Lita Ford - really on the fence, and don't wanna get fucked if it ends up sucking.
Gonna lock up Rush tickets for October as well - now that's one concert I'm not worried about. -
Well, i agree that sounded pretty bad for that show. Just like Brett was hoarse for this show in Nashville. All I can say is in Nashville, Def Leppard's show was great.

Friday November 23rd Rush is playing at the MGM in Vegas. OT meet up??
