  1. I'm a little confused by the NFL's Superbowl campaign right now. Don't know if these are airing on TV, been seeing them all over HULU.

Buncha old guys talking about how great it is to go to the Superbowl.

Are they really hurting for ticket sales to the Superbowl? I was under the impression that it was basically - friends, family and VIPs only need apply. I guess these commercials make it seem more accessible/something the average fan should aspire to, but I really have no idea how "Tom" can have gone to every single Superbowl.

Sure, you want people to be excited about the Superbowl to watch it on TV, but these commercials are talking specifically about going to the game.

Anyway, this thread is pretty pointless but for some reason these commercials have been annoying me. Probably because they air 4-5 times per episode on HULU.
  2. If you have the $$$ you can get a Super Bowl ticket. I haven't checked in a long time but in 1993 to see the Cowboys in the Super Bowl cheap tickets were 500$ each.
  3. Those are Visa comercials I thought. Or mastercard. One of those. Trying to get you to use your credit card to win a chance to get tickets to every superbowl for the rest of your life. I think it is in partnership with the NFL for the campaigne but certainly mastercard/visa is picking up the tab.
  4. Just saw another one, and yes it is VISA. Caption at the end of the spot. Missed that the first 18 times because I would open another window while they ran.

HULU is getting to be almost as bad as first run TV. Too many commercials these days.

  5. Blame dvrs.
  6. commercials are the price to pay for entertainment

I'm sorta expecting them to start showing up on CD's between songs. The next Eminem CD is going to substitute the skits for advertisements for bands signed to Shady's record label.
