Had the surgery today. So far so good. No more leg pain...which is fucking sweet. But damn, I am sore as fuck. Thank god for morphine and percs!! Head to the surgeon for a follow up next week.
Thanks for all the support. My family and I appreciate it.

Some post-op advice:
1. Do NOT just stop taking the meds once the soreness is gone. I had serious withdrawal symptoms (74 hours without sleep) cause I thought I'd be a Big Man and just stop. There's a reason methadone was invented.
2. Do NOT push too much too soon. Let your body heal. Luckily I had a whole bunch of sick days and vacation days left, and I took 3 full weeks. By the time I was back at work, I was 100%.
3. DO stay at least slightly mobile. Resist the temptation to spend the whole day in bed. Even if you just walk to the end of the hall and back every hour, stay moving.

Thanks guys...I agree with dropping the meds cold turkey. Bad idea, went through a bad withdrawal after my first op. Im gonna try and walk atleast 5-10 minutes 1-2 times a day, and I am gonna get set up with some post-op PT after the surgeon clears me. Again guys, thanks for all the support. Hopefully within a year or two I will be ready to go for the Marine Corps physical. Hopefully...Long shot, but I'm gonna try like hell.
Matt
