-

-
I'll put a hundo on the contras, who wants a piece?
-
Doesn't look like too many hotties :(
-
survivor would be a million times more interesting if they were given an unlimited supply of coconut rum.
-
Not fair really these old farts will go like 2-14 in comps and those 2 wins will come from something the producers rig up to make them win.
Over/under on how far Johnson makes it at 3 show? -
It was ok. The guy shannon seems like he'll be good for a few solid quotes this season. Kinda disappointed Jimmy was complaining about how hard it was after one day. Clearly a correct decision to keep the medallion, as you need to use it in a challenge in which you're at a disadvantage - and this one just didn't have one for the older people. Wait til there is a challenge involving strength or speed to use it.
The asain chick is going to annoy me all season.
Overall, I just miss Russell :( -
Agreed, overall not a great episode in my opinion. The Shannon guy got a lot of camera time and it seems like they've made him into one of the main characters for this season. As much as I like it when people we're already familiar with play Survivor, it also means that the others get less camera time... there are several players that we heard virtually nothing from where as Jimmy was on the camera every couple of minutes. Its just a give and take, and I'm looking forward to learning more about the others as time goes on.
the 'power medallion' or whatever it is is sort of interesting, giving teams a leg-up in the challenges and I think the old folks were right not to use it at that first challenge due to its lack of physicality. Although, they're not going to do a purely physical challenge with people under 30 against people over 40.
We'll see how it plays out, but overall I thought it was a fairly lackluster episode... I guess Russell has us all spoiled.
Also, I'm all for the woman with the prosthetic leg going for it and doing survivor, but they've already done that before and it just wasn't that interesting of a subplot for me. They even had a 'revealing meeting' or whatever just like they did the first time. -
Just watched it online. First of all:
you are crazy, she's the hottest chick in this season.
The 1st episode was not that great, but that's usually the case in most seasons but AllStars - too many people we still don't know / care enough about. Nicaragua also has the disadvantage of coming after Heroes vs Villains, which was an awesome season (best of all, imo).
It seems like the casting promises a good balance though. There's the goof, the loudmouth, the arrogant, the hillbilly, the famous guy, the old James, etc., next to the usual, boring waitresses/actors from CA. I like the new medallion twist, even better after hearing that it'll stay in play and will switch hands after use. HII clue seems harder to crack too.
I'm optimistic about this season, despite its slow start. You just can't compare it to last season's premiere though...
Did anyone else hear that the next season might really be a "Boston Rob vs Russel" theme? That'd be loltastic. -
That tribal council was absolutely ridiculous... I feel like there are so many people that are out there that have absolutely no clue how to interact with other people, or how the game is played. I mean obviously everyone that goes on the show is familiar with Survivor, yet they repeat all of the exact same mistakes time and time again that people do in the past.
Shannon - what the fuck. Seriously, even if it wasn't a guarantee that you were going home, he shot himself in the foot more than any other player that I have ever seen. The gay comment was just ridiculous, I mean even if your curious in the middle of a heated argument is NOT the time to ask... wtffff
Na'onka is absolutely retarted too... she steals the dudes socks and then is pissed at him for it? Why would you come out and say you dont like someone, your just making yourself a target.
Holly - the worst play ever. WTffffffffff you steal someones shoes, throw them away into the river, and then confess? are you INSANE!??!?
This weeks episode made up for last week, but it leaves me with no doubt that I will walk to a million dollars when I go on Survivor. I swear at least half of the contestants are going to completely shoot themselves in the feet by week 4. How do they not understand when they go on survivor that you can be whoever the F you want to be. You can lie out of your ass for 31 days if you want to and it won't make a difference, as long as you get along with people and make it to the end. The LAST thing you want to do is alienate yourself, and thats what EVERYONE seems to want to do!
