Looking forward to getting a new season underway. From what I understand, this one will have no returning players and no redemption island - both of which I am excited about. Hopefully this season will produce some great stand alone Survivor characters, so we won't have to keep pulling back old favorites.

Fairly interesting first episode, thoughts:

I like how they definitely highlighted Jeff saying "hold your hands in!" like three different times when they jumped and she still tried to catch herself with her arms. Feel bad for her though, as thats pretty much the nightmare -- getting the once in a lifetime opportunity to play survivor and getting medically evacuated before you even get to see tribal council. She was pretty dumb though anyway... If Jeff asks you right off the bat if you fit in, why the F would you say "not well, Jeff!" Make something up! Don't alienate yourself before they even know your name.

During the challenge I was happy that the guys decided not to play it out, they have absolutely nothing to gain from playing it out. The good will of the girls? Who cares about that... they came out there to win - and they would have made the same choice 100 times out of 100. They were going to win easily anyway, but why risk it? Having one less person in a relay race like that is an advantage also. One thing I definitely would NOT do is be the guy that tries to justify the decision like Troyzan did. The girls are going to think hes a douche now because he was the one that tried to rationalize the decision to people that wouldn't listen.

I laughed pretty hard at the girls trying to steal fire, and then not being able to keep the fire alive until morning... thats a pretty big fail.

Colton seems to be tackling his situation the wrong way... Perhaps its down to editing, but in every scene hes over chatting with the girls. If he was thinking ahead, he'd be trying to get himself in with his own tribe so he doesn't have to resort to desperation plays.

Thought Leif was a badass, and it was awesome how someone pointed out that he was carrying one of the heaviest loads on the long trek. I love the long treks at the start of the game.

Troyzan is a SI swimsuit photographer -- so probably knows Kate Upton?! Also, it is hilarious that there are players named Troyzan and Tarzan.

Think that's all I can think of at the moment.

This does look to be a great season and its awesome they changed up the game to refresh this season, I do think they guys will pick the broads apart unless they totally suck at puzzles.

+ No Redemption Island, nice to see once but got old super quick
- No Hantz, still early but this cast seems to lack the big personality that makes Survivor the most fun.

There's no way they don't skew a few challenges to help the girls. Way back when they did another men v. women the women actually won more challenges before the merge.

Alicia has an amazing ass and awesome tits but is SUPER annoying and her face is aids. The "one world" dynamic (should be) great. I haven't been this excited for a season in a while.

I honestly think Seb (or whatever her name is; the African-American) is very tolerable. Especially compared to some other African American women this show has cast in the past.
