predictable episode. Challenge was interesting, watching Jeff Kent rape at the end. Lol @ Russ's God rant. I don't get why Denise and Malcolm just didn't tell Russ the truth and tell him he was going, its been done before.

I'm glad they tried something new, but it doesn't seem to be working too well... at least I'm not into it for whatever reasons. I wish they could come up with something that really made it more like the originals when nobody knew how to play the game and everything was a surprise... Obviously that would be a whole new show, but just making it 3 tribes doesn't really shake it up enough. I guess it just doesn't have enough interesting people for me.

They've got a great shot. It's the first time I've seen new people join a tribe and everyone was just cool with it. They both lucked out and walked into the position of the swing vote.

A few thoughts. The whole "Penner or Katie" moment seemed completely fabricated. I mean I know Carter is a space cadet but would he really say that and then Penner not even react to it. Maybe it was just clever editing...

And I didn't think for a moment Penner would get voted out. They tried way to hard to make it seem like he was the one leaving. I mean seriously, would Carter and Jeff really ditch their most loyal ally not to mention his HII that will be vital for the merge? I mean you knew that was never gonna be brought up during deliberation but that is what I thought of immediately. Not to mention the fact that Penner is still much needed in immunity challenges over Katie but no that wasn't brought up either. Voting Penner out made no strategic sense whatsoever.

Sometimes, I think they should just go with the obvious vote and let it be done with, not insult viewer intelligence by offering a completely implausible alternative to the obvious vote.

As for Jeff Probst, stop bloody harassing the young, weak female players, its getting old real quick. Notice how he never berates Lisa Welchel, I mean she's pretty old and useless too but he leaves her alone. I guess he respects his elders.

Call me crazy, but due to editing I think the red tribe / people on the red tribe is going to make a run. The yellow team still doesn't get much camera time, it was pretty much all purple - then switched to red once they broke the tribes. Also, everyone on the yellow tribe fucking sucks and I want them all to lose. I would love nothing more than for Skupin and the facts of life girl to join up with the red team and destroy the yellows after a merge. The brazilian chick is terrible.

Yeah im not so sure. I mean, so far no-one has been getting the so called "winner's edit", its been pretty balanced individually and Red tribe has been getting air time because they've been going to tribal council so I wouldn't look too much into that. I think the winner will come from the yellow tribe.

I think RC has been portrayed quite positively, but thats because i think she is just an awesome person so I could be biased

JeffKent is definitely playing a great game so far, but he might become too big of a target or end up with too severe of a number's advantage

I think it's fun with the producers. I can see them winking at the loyal fans while they keep levelling and re-levelling the viewer. 'Oh, Penner is done.' 'Nah but theyre making it too obvious.' 'Oh wait, he might actually be going.' then nahhh.

It's a television show. It's fun.

I suggest if you dont find this stuff fun, you might not enjoy this program.

Where were you last week wen Dawson went? No clever editing. They show dawson make her plea, they show others contemplate it, and then we see tribal. they film a long tribal and we see the oh-so most relevant tribal comments.

katie made a case to get penner. they showed it. they owe it to katie as a player to show her last ditch effort, whether you see it as implausible or not. and there definitely was SOME uncertainty. jeff and carter are seriously contemplating it, like you would anything in a high stakes game.

And Probst's role in the show is awesome.
Whether he did that during the challenge or they added his shouting during post-production.
It's television, it's awesome. Probst is one of the best characters on the show and I love seeing him do his thing out there.

if you dont enjoy Probst or the cheesy but crafty production, I dont see how youre around for season 25

I usually find survivor entertaining if there is half interesting people on the show, there's not many seasons that I completely give up on but I've just had a few grievances with this season and I also believe that Jeff Probst is starting to become a rude and unpleasant host. You can't compare this week to last week because both Katie and Dawson could have legitimately gone but I just didn't feel there was ANYuncertainty with Penner at all. I felt Jeff Kent is/was way too smart to make a stupid decision like that.

And about JP, I think he's been good up until the last few seasons. With each season that passes he is attempting to influence players, from calling people out at challenges (the same person more than once) to stirring people up at tribal council, to being an all-around asshole. The old Jeff was much more diplomatic, observational and respectful of players. I mean the "cookies" incident really stood out to me. Roxy came up with "do less work", I mean is that that much of a better answer than cookies. But no he left Roxy alone and spent the next few minutes embarrassing Angie until she was on the brink of tears.

I like Survivor too much to give up on it yet, but I think changes need to be made including Jeff Probst as host.

I think Survivor would fail without Jeff as host - I think the show would never be the same without him. I do agree though that occasionally there are moments when it seems like he is influencing the game a bit much. For example, when that chick tripped at the beginning of the challenge he made a point of mentioning it 3-4 times throughout the long ass challenge that they were behind because of her. I thought it was a bit excessive, but, it *could* have been part of the edit - he may be spouting things off the entire challenge and they just happened to air all of the comments he made that referenced that incident because they knew it was going to weigh heavily later. Overall I think he still does an A+ job though.
