    As long as Boston also makes the playoffs, I would love to see Baltimore make it this year and end the long suffering of their fans. Camden Yards is such a great place to watch a game.

    Hush, this is the only time of year where fans of horrendous teams can cheer. Hell, even the Pirates are over .500. Unfortunately they don't play the Cubs 159 more times.

    Its good to see signs of a real team developing tho. Pitching talent is developing.
    Is this the year they learn the years not over 1/4 in and make it to the all star game first? Then the next year 3/4 and the year after the world series!?

    I can't remember who put the Rays at #2 in the OT power rankings, but that was the biggest joke I have seen. I expect them to finish in fourth place in the division.

    I love the Orioles this year. I wanted to put them higher than I did in my power rankings, but balked (still put them like 18th). hopefully Matusz is out closer to 3 weeks than 6 =/

    I think they can finish 3rd in the east, and possibly make early september a sweat

    Def a realistic goal of solid improvement. Its not like anyone cares about the other pretenders, its time to get our sox and yankees rivalries re-engaged.

    It has nothing to do with the first three games of the season. It has everything to do with the Rays losing Crawford, Garza, Pena, and their entire bullpen.

    Pena was awful last year. I think there's a good chance Hellickson will match Garza's production from last year, and a decent chance that he's better. Shields will rebound. The bullpen thing really isn't a big deal because the Rays have loads of depth and do a fantastic job of evaluating major league talent. No Crawford will hurt, but Damon still has some value and Manny will be much better than the DHs they had last year. I really think people are making too much of their downfall. #2 might've been high, but I really don't think they fell off that much.
