  1. So, I put $50.00 on Bodog out of boredom this past Thursday and I ran it up to over $600 before taking some very very sick beats, then decided to go out of town for the weekend partying and didn't want to tilt off the rest in poker so I took all the money I had left and put it on two Sweetheart Teasers for the NFL.

A little background on Sweethearts in College and NFL.

You can pick 4 teams, and add 13 points to each spread
You can pick 3 teams, and add 10 points to each spread

I can't think of the payouts right now and am too lazy to look it up, but could these be profitable in the long run? Does anyone else bet these? I really don't want to play poker right now especially with all the drama, but now I have over $268 in the account after winning the first sweetheart with like $160 left on the other sweetheart to win w/ the Colts +9....

It seems like these have bad value, but don't know. I considering myself a semi-expert on gambling but figured I'd see if anyone else had an opinion...

Here are the two sweethearts I had going this weekend...

  2. Ive never tried those but the none of that shit is beatable, especially on bodog because they rape you even more than normal books.
  3. those are some pretty dumb bets, IMO. in the long run anyway.
  4. Oh, I know they are retarded bets, especially since I did it in like a 5 minute span and picked three of the same teams on each of them...

But don't you think you could find 4 teams every week in the NFL adding 13 points to each spread for a lock? Or even to the over/unders?

  5. Teasers are awful.

Just keep taking the Pats ATS.
  6. that's the problem, you have to find FOUR of them, and it doesn't even pay even money. yeah, they're all close to locks, but even if they're all like 85% to hit, you're 50/50 to hit all of them. i mean, you could give it a try all year and see how it goes...just keep picking the colts/pats/steelers and maybe you'll be ok. i just don't think it's worth it in the long run. and if i'm gonna make -EV bets i'd rather make parlays or round robins and actually have a chance for a big score.
  7. ^^^ Same Steelers that played tonight, those Steelers, from Pittsburgh?
  8. Yeah but honestly, I think next year I am going to do some Math on this, or maybe tomorrow do some research and see if there are any statistics out there on Sweetheart Tesaers.

I'd be interested to know in how many games/week on average cover both ways in the Sweetheart so it wouldn't have mattered which team you went with.

  9. i cant win on those. i had the same teams 50 bucks, but i had 30.5 points nd vs usc, thats the one that lost. you should be good with indi. i also bet clev to win series vs sox so wtf do i know.
  10. I think putting college football teasers are way more difficult than NFL IMO....

  11. i am by no means a gambling expert...but to me, it seems like you are going to win these more than you lose...which makes them profitable...obviously youre not getting even money, so its gotta be A LOT more than you lose...but with those lines, i would have bet my house on those...so to me it seems profitable

i'd love to be proved wrong though
