Not much to say. Most people probably won't even care. I have to warn anyone with children should think before watching the youtube video it is quite disturbing.

What the fuck is it going to take before some intervention? Just sickening...
-
Jeez dude, could have done with out seeing the 50 dead kids.
-
Something has to be done in Syria. I'm very disturbed about this. Sorry if it was too much, I did warn that the video should be viewed with caution, it is very graphic.

Wtf
-
There are reasons we don't intervene or do it on a limited level in Congo, Sudan, Rwanda, Syria etc.
-
Bingo I get so mad when I think how sick and evil our gov is just like a mafia I may blow things up but whatever just makes me so mad when I see that stuff wish I was a navy seal killing those fuckers like rambo

I'm not sure that I agree Spanky, China and Russia have drawn a line in the sand in Syria. The reason Assad is still in power is because of Russia, and China is also complicit.
-
No. I can't believe I agree with rebelfd

It is because it is not our area of control. Syria is backed by Russia
Sudan has tons of resources and oil but it is controlled by China as is Congo. It isn't our place
Also, we care a lot more about Syria than we do about online poker. The US is in a difficult predicament in the Middle East right now -
at least Boston won.
-
Sorry to rain on your parade. It does put life into perspective for me. Hopefully we can do something to stop the wholesale slaughter of children.
-
We could start a facebook campaign or something with this video telling the goverment to stop the war on stupid shit like weed and poker and wars for oil and work stopping this.

Of course the truth could be our gov is so corrupt they care about nothing expect their own agenda and have 0 morals -
But it's not just Syria - anytime there is an "atrocity" in any of the oil-rich countries, we as a country will be involved and outraged. But when we don't have any skin in the game (Rwanda, Congo), we basically look the other way and claim that it's too complex for us to get involved.
Syria Massacre - 90 people killed
There have been tens of thousands (perhaps hundreds of thousands) killed in various civil wars in central Africa.
90<<<<<<<<<<50,000 or so -
We have been over there for a decade. If we were going to do something about it, it would of already happened.
Pretty sure most of the libs dont want us touching syria or any of the african countries...just like they dont want us in iraq, afganistan or Iran.
I can of agree with them to an extent...we cant be everywhere...so we have to pick and choose who we help.
And like Zeps said...syria is not our problem. -
Well at least in iraq they are not slaughtering kids at least I dont think so ? don't know alot about the culture

I think the difference here is that this war in Syria started because of a Pro-Democracy movement. I've always been concerned with conflict around the world, and despite how I'm perceived here I do grieve at even 1 death. I believe public outcry has curbed the violence in Darfur, and the last I heard there are some actions taking place in Somalia to protect the innocent. I wish I could save everyone, but this story struck a cord with me, and I feel something can be done to protect civilians and support democracy. Not sure what else I can say.

Christians not paying for contraception = war on women.
Muslims slaughtering children = religion of peace
#thingsliberalsteachme -
MS full of pretty doltish posts lately
-
Not saying it is or should be, but you've been coming hard with the nonsense lately, just an fyi.
-
I've made my fair share of religion of peace threads and responses, and the cries for God in the video made me take pause before doing that itt. I don't care if you're an atheist, buddhist, jew, etc the killing of innocent children is abhorent.
-
The only arabic I know is "Allahu Akbar" which was said over and over in the video
