    It's a new reality show thats gonna be on ABC soon. I think it's going to be a pretty cool show because it seems like an original idea, not a typical reality show.

    The show starts with 2 people that are given a $100,000 briefcase. They are told to hide it anywhere within the city they are in and have an hour to do so. There are 2 police officers and 2 investigators that are given the job to find this briefcase within 48 hours after the 2 people have hidden it. If they fail to find it within the 48 hours, the 2 people get to keep the $100,000. If the cops find the briefcase within the 48 hours, they get to keep the $100,000. During the process (from what I've seen) they can trace GPS, phone etc and interrogate the contestants in order to try and find this case.

    It's probably gonna be cheesy as 95% of shows on ABC are (esp reality shows) but who knows

    Thats the thing, I don't really know how you can lose so im curious to see how that can happen. They can't follow them, but they can trace a ton of things they do within that hour

    that sounds like fun, hope its legit and not very staged, but it seems like its goin to be easy to find witnesses to a guy being followed by a camera crew. obv hope they use hidden cameras or are stealthy when he hides it. just seems like with all the logistics involved in keeping it safe etc, its going to be difficult to be legit.

    So none of us know exactly how it goes down/what are the rules, but I found a few things about episode 1:
    takes place in SF, apparently the contestants have a car (with a gps unit), they HAVE to talk to the interrogators (no right to remain silent).
    So what would your strategy be/what would some parts of it be?
    Just thinking off the top of my head, one thing would be for the two people to split up. That way there is twice as much work for the detectives since they wouldn't know which one had the briefcase (maybe buy some sort of bag to put the briefcase in and then have a "dummy" bag).
    One website mentioned something about the investigators being able to look at receipts (so maybe any credit card could be tracked). Then getting cash would be really helpful so that you could get a cab and pay with cash and they wouldn't know what cab you got into so couldn't question that guy. Maybe go to a store and offer to pay with a card for someone's purchase and they give you cash (of course taking less cash than it is worth to get them to do it, though that looks fishy and makes you look like a criminal, lol).
    And thinking of that, if there is any way to elicit the help of a friend in the city that is trustworthy. Then you could give him the briefcase and he would be able to continue hiding it well after the hour was up. But of course he would have to be trustworthy.
    (I hadn't heard of this show till just now but as you can tell I'm pretty excited about it).

    from the commercial i saw for the show they have to find somewhere safe to hide it so no one will find it

    they can't just run from the cops for 2 days (which I think would be an interesting show)

    Id call a bunch of diff people, some who lived on the route we drove on, some who didnt. Id have one of the people who didnt live on the route come meet me along the route somewhere take the case and stash it.

    Just make sure you call a bunch of diff people and stay on the phone almost the whoe time. Make several stops of similar lengths.

    1. Go to bank
    2. Purchase a few safe deposit boxes
    3. Repeat at a few different banks
    4. Place the case in one of the boxes.
    5. Have the closed boxes placed randomly back into the safe by bank employee.
    6. Mail the keys to a relative inside a self-addressed return envelope.
    7. Collect the monies

    As it was the bank employee who put the case back into storage, you will not know which one contains the case, so you can truthfully answer, "I don't know" to any question relating to the whereabouts of said money, once the safe deposit boxes are discovered.

    yea i dont get it either. i would immediately hide my phone, go throw the case in a friends apt, have friend lock the door and go stay somewhere else for two days, go pick up phone where i hid it. ez game. this show is fucking STUPID. why the FUCK would you just tell them where you hid the briefcase and kiss 100k goodbye? this stupid ass show is obv scripted and obv pissed me off. will not watch again.
