IDK if this is a repost, but has to be one of the sickest crime/action movies in a long....even better than "The Town"....and TI produced it, which is even more amazing. Anyone have any thoughts about the movie or disagreements with this statement and why??
-
Well its not in stock at my local redbox.
Maybe another night then. -
Haven't seen it but Chris Brown, Hayden Christensen, Paul Walker & Matt Dillon.... It's like a cavalcade of bad/inexperienced actors.
Very excite............................................ ...NAHT!!! -
Kind of what I was thinking. Who know tho. Might give it a watch. Geez, that cast is terrible tho.
-
I wanted to see it in theaters but didn't get a chance, I'll def rent it soon.
-
don't bag on it if you haven't seen it because I thought the same thing.....but action scenes are pretty sweet and storyline actually flows pretty well....it's not like you haven't spent 2 hours on a bad movie before and this isn't even close to being a bad flick
-
i think its a shame that stringer bell lowered himself to make this piece of shit with paul walker and TI. i mean i know that actors have to make shitty movies to make money, but damn, this movie was so stupid, and so corny that i went to sleep after about 45 mins. The plot is ridiculously stupid, the acting is terrible and the one liners are 80s movie corny, but not in the funny 80s movie way, just stupid.
i would seriously rather stare at a wall for 2 hours before watching that movie again. -
Wasn't bad, actoin wise etc, but found it pretty cheesy in a old school A-Team level
-
This got nun on stomp the yard, that put Chris brown on the map movie wise

Well played sir but u forgett stomp the yardwas the #1 movie in America the 1st 2 weeks it came out! That being said those movies listed above fit the criteria of this thread-trashhhh -
Watched it last night. Was allright, Not really all that special IMO.
-
Just saw the previews. Doubt it's going to be better than the town
-
Whatever... Takers was hella cheesy and makes "The Town" look like an Oscar winner. I am a HUGE fan of "The Wire" and was pumped to see Stringer in a new movie; only to be disappointed by how cliche the whole thing was. Decent action scenes and some flash but it's just more standard Hollywood BS, worth watching if your bored and just want to see some action without much story.

Matt Dillon should not be included in this list of horrendous thespians. He just made a bad choice.
-
an easy way to determine if your opinion carries any weight is asking you to list your top five movies of all-time. If something like "The Last Boy Scout" is on there, well... see ya later.
-
wait, which is the one with liam neeson being a complete badass? i dont feel like googling but could've sworn that that was called The Takers. I enjoyed that movie

lol Taken

I actually really enjoyed this movie... F the haters... Parts of this really reminded me of Heat, almost like an updated version... Id take this over the town every day of the week..
-
Stringer Bell did Rock n Rolla too, talk about a let down after The Wire...At least he did The Office.
The Town had it's cliche bank robbery scenes but also had a few original ideas that were decent.
No way in hell I watch a movie with Chris Brown or Paul Walker in it and I also don't even give a chance to movies that are rated below a 6 on IMDB(Takers=5.6). It would be very interesting to see OP's list of epic films, please make it more than 5 though, I need an extended laugh.
