Just to make things clear. If doing anything on AOL during the early Internet years make you feel old you're an asshole.

has anyone mentioned encarta. the online encyclopedia... i remember listening to the clip of run dmz on it.. lol

I just remember when I came home in the 80's it was "Did anybody call me." We were the last family to get cable in the neighborhood lol. Lookin back it made sense. My house got call waiting before we even had an answering machine. We weren't poor or nothing it was just my parents were kinda frugal so they didn't spend on shit we really didn't need.
First unreal present I remember at like 5 years old was ATARI 2600. I found it under my parents bed before Christmas morning lol. Santa who? I went to school with poor kids. I wonder how young kids are when they find out about Santa these days. I think I was in first grade age 6 I guess.
I will never forget the best call waiting story. My little sister was in elementary school at the time and her best friend who lived like 5 houses away was calling our phone. My dad was on it. She let it ring like 1900 times lol and it kept beeping and my dad was like wtf is this shit. And I wasn't there but I am guessing my mom was like oh its the call waiting. He fucking clicks over and reams her out. LOL technology. -
bleh. SNES one was better. Only upside of 64 was that it was 4 player. add 4 player to SNES, and you have perfection.

Am I the only one that misses the shit out of arcades?
Pinball machines are pretty much extinct now :(
I used to love playing the badass sit down racing games and stuff. When I was 8 years old and had 5 bucks in quarters I felt like I was on top of the world. Those were the days! -
lol yep, Netbus. I would just convince my friends it was something I was working on and when it didn't open i would act like it needed more work. Some of them caught on "what the fuck was that file you sent me..my cd player keeps opening" and some would just be like "somethings up with my computer..my cd tray won't stop opening"

Haha this thread brings back memories. I remember at the end of Ghostbusters the Stay Puft marshmellow man was destroying the city and you had to stop him. That was my fav part of that game.

Loved the BMX there were only a couple jumps you could do the front flip on. The hacky sack was fun also I remember always trying to time that spinning jester kick or whatever it was. Shit was kinda hard actually!
Skate or Die was the nuts played the shit out of that game because I was a skateboarder when it came out. My favorite by far was the downhill I used to like going through the pipes. -
You know what else made me feel old recently?
I had sex with a girl who lives in my old house and her bedroom is my old bedroom. I lived in the room from the age of 4-13.
She would have been 7 years old when I moved out of there. Never thought i would have had sex in that room. -
the good old days before firewalls and internet security. i've still got my 28.8k sega saturn netlink dial-up modem. interesting thing about it is, if anyone else has one still, i could still play against them online. since there's no servers, it just direct dials to the other person's modem. Anyone still got Virtua On and wanna get raped?

I like to point out their mistakes so they realize men are superior to women though.

You're lucky a new zagat companion manual came out or you'd sure be getting an earful right now.

I can tune out a woman nagging me though.
