taxes in texas

    i know we are supposed to record our winnings on our income tax, but if we are in a state like texas where gambling is illegal, would we be prosecuted?

    no, because we don't pay state income tax...just federal

    but tax evasion is +EV, I condone it

    gambling is not illegal in texas, there are indian casinos here, and as long as the house isn't taking rake, there are some live games here too

    The IRS' official stance is they don't care how you made your money, you are supposed to report it.
