If mods have to delete this post it's all good, just thought this was right up OT's alley. GP made a new site called draftday.com that basically runs like a SNG would in poker. Up to $200 buy in for each game and you draft your team for each game you join fresh every week.
Pretty sweet, give it a look see.
Again, sorry mods if this doesn't belong. Figured it'd get some kind of press on here anyway just cause of Taylor and Nat. -
ha, really cool idea.
-
Great idea! Link to site?
-
Gotta love how creative GP is.
-
Good thing I am poor right now...otherwise I would be signing up
-
Did you guys not check out FanDuel when there was a freeroll on here the first week of the season? Pretty legit site, and sounds very similar. I won $55 in the freeroll and another $375 yesterday cashed out directly to my paypal account.

Didn't check it out but def wish I did. Still will support GP/Wiggins/those clowns whenever though. They've always done things right.
-
I now have teams running this week. This site will absolutely bankrupt me.
-
this idea is fucking genius. Fuck
-
oh shit....this could be the end of me.....
-
To be fair, there are multiple other sites that run the exact same daily fantasy sports format. That said, I'd 10000000% rather give my money to honest guys like Taylor and Andrew than any of the other sites.
I was actually a beta tester for draftday. Site works great. There were minimal bugs that support pretty quickly took care of, so the site should be good to go. I also noticed that DD rakes less than FanDuel does (Fanduel rakes 10%, DD rakes 8%), so there's as good as any incentive to join. -
Wow this looks awesome and I'll def be trying it out this week with the few bucks I have left in my paypal. Thanks for posting
-
I thought you weren't allowed to promote other sites and stuff like that on Pocketfives????
Just sayin... -
yah they def just got a whole bunch of free advertising. You getting paid OP??
-
I figured because of GP and Nat's relationship with this site it'd get some front page plug anyway, esp with the $1M freeroll they're offering.
Would rather more people just sign up to fill in the games I'm signed up for this week and figured OT was hella into this stuff anyway so thought I'd share something that's potentially fun for a large % of this site. My b yo. -
Edited By: rnningfool Sep 28th, 2011 at 03:18 AMThis response is hilarious. I was thinking it was sarcastic but then I remembered your relationship with cardrunners and realized you were being truthful. I was a cardrunners member for a while and that site was totally legit so this is nothing personal against Taylor, but the entire online poker industry have a tarnished reputation at this point. I'd feel more comfortable giving my money to complete strangers (i've used fanduel successfully) not associated with the online poker at this point. Just my feeling and I'd be curious to see how others felt with the whole Full Tilt fiasco.Originally Posted by Mkind16

Really? I don't see how you can even bring up Full Tilt in this thread. It makes no sense to me...they're completely different and Taylor had nothing to do with the "Full Tilt fiasco" -
like the idea alot...how do payouts work, through paypal?

Edited By: Green Plastic Sep 28th, 2011 at 04:43 PMIf you're curious about the legal aspect, here's some more info: http://www.draftday.com/legal - There's a Fantasy Sports carveout in the UIGEA.Originally Posted by Goldenad

I understand why you wouldn't trust poker players. Ultimately you shouldn't play on a site where you don't trust the people managing it. We do keep our player funds segregated from our operational funds, there will be more posted on our site about this as soon. -
thanks for the response taylor. i'm not sure if this applies to you but i know paypal has been cracking down on payments made on their site for fantasy sports. here is an email another p5er got who was holding money for a league and paying out weekly:
