FORT LAUDERDALE, Florida - Authorities say a South Florida teen committed suicide in front of a live online Webcam audience after blogging about his plan to kill himself.

Broward County medical examiner's office investigator Wendy Crane says 19-year-old Abraham Biggs died Wednesday from a toxic combination of opiates and benzodiazepine, a depressant used to treat insomnia.

People were watching through a body building Web site and Crane says some were encouraging, others tried to talk him out of it, and a few were debating whether the dose he took was lethal. Crane says someone notified the moderator, who traced the teen's location and called police.

Biggs was dead by the time they got there.

He didn't repost it. He was "clarifying" to people who said it didn't happen cause nothin' official has been reported that it actually did occur.

Funny to me how they say that a moderator called the police when in all actuality one of the Mods that was notified made a post about how often this kid threatens it and that he's a "dumb fuck" or something like that, and like 10 of the guys on the bodybuilding site got the number from some guy in india who was freaking out about it and called but w/e it's really sad a 19 yearold kid like this feels the need to kill himself how lonely you must feel to do that.

A Pembroke Pines teenager told an Internet audience he wanted to kill himself by drug overdose -- and then he followed through on his macabre threat while a live webcam captured it, according to the Broward County Medical Examiner's Office.

Abraham Biggs Jr., 19, ingested a lethal mixture of three different drugs early Wednesday, then continued to blog about it while others watched online and egged him on.

The end of the video -- which shows Pembroke Pines police busting into his bedroom and discovering his body -- remained up on LiveVideo.com as of Friday morning.

''It's unimaginable,'' father Abraham Biggs Sr. said Friday in the family's Pembroke Pines apartment, holding a shredded tissue to catch his tears. ``I did everything I could. I'm sorry it wasn't enough.''

Biggs Sr., a math professor at Broward College, said he last spoke to his son early Wednesday morning. They talked sometime between 4 and 5 a.m. about Biggs Sr.'s new GPS system. Biggs Jr. then asked his dad when he'd be home.

Biggs Jr., who was in his second year of studying at Broward College, also said he was going to drop off some food at his father's office sometime Wednesday afternoon.

When Biggs Sr. didn't see a meal on his desk, he drove to one of their favorite restaurants, bought dinner and went home about 4:30 p.m.

He said he was met there by Pembroke Pines police and paramedics.

''We were very good friends,'' Biggs Sr. said of his relationship with his son. ``It was very hard. I don't want to watch what is out there. It's wrong that it was allowed to happen.''

The suicide video first appeared live on Justin.tv, then was later posted to other content-sharing websites, such as LiveVideo.com and YouTube.com, which has since removed the clip.

About 3 a.m. Wednesday, Biggs Jr. was blogging and at some point stated he had overdosed on three drugs, including the anti-depressant Xanax and Valium, according to Wendy Crane, a medical examiner's office investigator.

He then posted a link on his blog to a webcam and invited viewers to watch him die. He also made available a suicide note.

Some viewers were skeptical he was actually suicidal, as apparently Biggs had made similar threats before and not followed through on them. But as minutes turned to hours, they began to fear he had actually killed himself. Some people posted comments encouraging him to ``do it.''

Biggs Jr., lying on his side, facing away from the camera, wasn't moving or breathing. Finally, someone notified the site's moderator, who was able to determine where Biggs lived. That's when Pembroke Pines police were called. They ultimately found Biggs about 3:30 p.m., but it was too late.

The medical examiner's office conducted an autopsy Thursday and determined Biggs died from a drug overdose. The toxicology report indicated he had ingested a deadly combination of benzodiazepine, a depressant used to treat insomnia, and opiates. He had a prescription for some of the drugs, but not all.

Biggs Jr. wrote what appeared to be a suicide note and posted it on his MySpace page Nov. 13:

''I can honestly say I've finally closed a chapter in my life that tonight that ended a long time ago. For my closest friends, you know who exactly I'm talking about, but I guess it really does take that last kiss goodbye till you finally turn your back on someone and not even think of looking back,'' Biggs wrote.

``Good Night Myspacer [sic], I think I'm gonna go in at only 1:29 AM.''

He also appeared to be a frequent poster on a bodybuilding.com Web forum, where comments Friday were mixed with disbelief and speculation.

While rare, this is not the first time a Broward suicide has been broadcast on the Web. There was a self-inflicted gunshot wound from Davie posted online a few years back.

''In this medical examiner's office, we get some doozies,'' said Crane, whose office gained international fame for investigating the overdose death of Anna Nicole Smith in early 2007.

The investigation into Biggs Jr.'s death is ongoing, a Pembroke Pines police spokesman confirmed Friday.

Justin.tv has a mechanism in place that when potentially harmful content is flagged by users, a moderator will review it and determine whether or not it should be removed. As of Friday morning, Biggs Jr.'s clip no longer appeared on the website.

''We regret that this has occurred and want to respect the privacy of thebroadcaster and his family during this time,'' said Michael Seibel, CEO ofJustin.tv.

imo i dont think anyone in OT would say "do it faggot", but I think there would definitely be some mocking at first. ok you do realize that he had been "asleep" for about 10 hours by the time the Indian guy even got involved?

the threas dies (too soon?) at about 3am while the guy is asleep, people said he was breathing and they all crashed out or lost interest and stopped watching...

the thread then gets bumped about 7 hours later and someone points out that he has not moved an inch, and is not breathing... they the arguments take place about whether the cops should be called or not, whether the video was on loop etc...

so actually, while the Indian guy had great intentions, his efforts by that time were futile...
