  1. Up here in Toronto house hunting and while driving around the outer suburbs of the city I am struggling to find anything interesting up here. Obv I am a clueless monkey and need some nudging in the right direction. From where I have been, it just seems like tall, drab apartment building, housing developments, and shitty little shopping centers.

  2. toronto is the hometown of laruegg
  3. Douglassville, PA... i can 1000% guarantee it is more exciting than there lol. If you want something exciting then go downtown Toronto by the Eatons Centre/Acc/Rogers centre

as for clubs/bars or anything im not too sure, but ask people around where you end up moving

  7. stay away from Hamilton...it dirty and it smells there.

    GTA != Toronto

If you're cruising around Mississauga, Scarborough, or something, I don't blame you. Those places are boring as fuck. Anything close to Downtown Toronto will be a lil more exciting, but obviously more pricey.

Your really dismissing what Pottstown and Reading have to offer...
  15. Wander down Queen street, there's some sweet shops and culture. Drop in on a headshop, find the guy with the weed and buy a bit. Go for some drinks. Ask a local where you should have dinner. Blaze and go watch a fucking play or find some live music. Fuck man have you never traveled?

Or you could just PM me. ;)
  17. pretty sure u described every suburb in every city in north america, go downtown maybe?

  18. Toronto has Major League Baseball, Professional Football (and the Bills come over, too), and a semi-pro Hockey club that is allowed to skate with the big boys every winter. Add in World Class theatre, a decent club district (others would be better informed about this than I), some really nice bars, parks, and museums and galleries, and there is a lot to do.

The surrounding Greater Toronto Area (GTA) has an Amusement Park, a Water Park, Conservation lands for hiking or biking. Within a couple hours drive you will have access to one of the most under-appreciated wine regions in the world, not to mention 5 different casinos (6 if you count Seneca on the US side).

If you cannot find something to like in the GTA, you are not trying . . .
  19. ^ Don't forget about the dozens of affordable golf courses less than an hour's drive from Toronto.
  20. hockey hall of fame ldo!

No. I mean heavily forested wilderness areas that will occasionally abut residential developments but are otherwise protected by law from development. Google the Bruce Trail, if you want to see what I am talking about. I am not talking about some flat piece of lawn with a gazebo, or fountain.

  24. Toronto is a world class city with almost everything you could possibly want (besides an ocean) within the city limits,

Residency- whats your budget and what are u looking for?? !br 2br a house a condo??? Craigslist obv has lots of apts
Food- Fast food or five star and everything in between. www.Blogto.com or chowhound will help you refine the search of restaurants to your interests
Shopping- Outlet stores in north of city,Trendy botutique shopping on bloor st in yorkville. About 6 shopping malls are close including yorkdale and the eaton centre and a bunch of other "Outdoor" malls with home depots-best buy's etc.. all over.
Bars/Clubs- Possibilites are endless every kind of pub, club, hole in the wall you can think of
The women of Toronto are absolutely gorgeous nuff said
Sports- Lots of hockey rinks and tennis courts downtown as well as some of the most Km's of bikepath's in a metropolitain area. Lakeshore BVLD is great for a run or rollerblade on a sunny day. Plus the Mapleleafs.bluejays,Raptors,Toronto FC, Buffalo Bills all play here
Poker there are quite a few underground places to play as well as a casino roughly 90 minutes in three of the four directions. Plus stars will have you going within a week or so
Lots of great touristy stuff to do such as CN tower, Toronto Zoo,Canada's wonderland,Hockey hall of fame, Plays and shows etc..(also right now until labour day is the Canadian national exhibition aka CNE)

Transit is very reliable IMO and for $3 is fairly affordable www.ttc.ca

A few of the downsides of Toronto are parking both cost and availibility, Beer and liqour sales are limited to the government run LCBO's and beer stores and in most cases stop selling at 9pm, Beggars are annoying but almost every large metro has em it's just a pain in the Ass deaing with them contanttly.

100% agree with this sentiment . . . have to LOL at the annual, "Golf is becoming more affordable" articles that the papers put out. Total BS, imo . . .

I mean... this really depends on where you're golfing. Fuck, I can't afford $100+ a round...

Head out West a little bit, you'll find some good courses around Burlington/Milton. There are a ton of great value courses in the 50-65$ range.
