too much poker with your laptop on your lap?
A friend told me that she heard you can get that from the battery being over your boys for too long, similar to the "myth" of getting brain cancer from your cell phone.
I don't believe her and I don't have a desk at my new house yet so my laptop is on my lap as I'm typing this. -
hi there! nice post! it would be a shame if you died and denied us informative speculation of this variety. the health dept. recommends a strong does of GTFO to prevent this problem. have a swell day!

This is actually very true. There was a huge article write up in some health magazine about this that my friend showed everyone. It also can cause a decrease in your sperm if u keep it on your lap for awhile due to the heat of the battery.

If you use your laptop on your lap, for hours on end, every day, year after year, you WILL definitely increase your risk for testicular cancer. That being said, the phone "myth" is far from a myth. Recent studies show overwhelming evidence correlating cell phone usage and brain tumors.
Obviously you shouldn't stop using your laptop or cellphone, but be aware that these devices 100% expose radiation to your body tissues. The amount is so minimal that there aren't any warnings YET, but I see this changing in the near future...not to scare people, but more as a precaution and a "you were warned."
Cell phone- use speaker phone, blue tooth, etc....
Laptop- put it on a desk, or if you want it on your lap, put a pillow or a couple books in between yourself and the laptop.
The difference between these devices being 8" - 12" off your skin and direct contact is astronomical. -
Yeah, it decreases the mobility of your swimmers for a few hours, and then they are back to normal... big deal.

Christ, you guys are all fuckin idiots. It's "labtop." Learn how to spell!!!!!

There is a zero percent chance this increases your risk of CANCER. There are harmful effects to it, but it 100% does not increase chances of testicular cancer.
PM for further details... -
You can also die from just stepping outside. Or even sitting in your living room.

I have heard that some people wear a tin foil hat to offset the magnetic field of the laptop on their nads. Supposedly, this works quite well. Give it a try?

What? GTFO. A battery sitting on your lap causing cancer? I'm a biology major and I have never heard of anything like that. You get cancer from long term exposure to UV light, carcinogenic chemicals, etc., not from a fucken battery sitting on your lap. It may decrease your sperm count, but IMO thats a good thing.
