  1. Anderson Silva(right now) vs Iron Mike Tyson(in his prime) in a street fight. Who wins?

The weight advantage for Tyson wouldn't be as big as it seems. Silva walks around at about 225-230 and mike in his prime fought in the mid to high 230's. Tyson would obvious have the power advantage though and probably has a tougher chin. But Silva is a black belt in Jiu-Jitsu, Tae Kwon do, and Judo. Silva also would have a big reach advantage. If it went to the ground silva would have a huge advantage. With that said Tyson(in his prime) is probably the best boxer i have ever seen his punches with out gloves would be devastating.

  2. Tyson would literally kill any body he fought if he had no gloves on and no rules to follow.
  3. Sreet fight, no rules? Tyson finsihes the whole head, not just the ear
  4. I don't really know Anderson's pain threshhold though being that he was a Chute Boxe guy i suspect it's substantial. I think he fights through the broken ribs that Mike delivers with the first crushing body punch and clinches Mike up and destroys him with knees.

This hypothetical gives me a chubby though.
  5. Tyson may be brutal and more powerful, but you have to hit the guy, and even in doing that doesn't mean one punch will knock him out...

    Silva wins imo.

Adding a pound to each hand doesn't help the punchee, it just protects the hands of the punchor.
  7. Silva would win. He can float like a butterfly and sting like a bee. Mike wouldnt be able to hit him.

Yes. However the surface area becomes smaller with the same amount of force. It'll hurt more in that one point.

Well, that's true, what you're saying, as a difference between boxing gloves and grappling gloves, but the impact force is also greater without gloves. That, coupled with the fact that the impact surface area is decreased, makes Tyson's hands a bit more of a problem. But not even close to an insurmountable one.
  10. I failed physics, what do you want from me? :p
  11. Lapdance?
  12. You better hope we never meet or you're gonna have hairy man bewbs in your grill.
  13. Nice visual...

But, I talked to moses_rob, and he really wants it, so I'm not one to deny a friend, so please, if you ever meet him, consider it done if you give it to him. He loves the man bewbs. Hairy is just a +.
  14. If Silva takes him down ... he'd take him apart like a game of operation. (just cause it's a street fight doesn't mean he couldn't use his BJJ)
Or if he would get him in a clinch and destroy Tyson with knees. PM Rich Franklin's nose.
Tyson is a bull and has one punch KO power ... but no one can hit Silva.
Silva is too good and to fast.
  15. Silva, it isn't close. Period.

You get a boxer on the ground and he is a fish out of water. No contest Silva brings him to the ground and it is over.
  16. Spider kills Tyson, literally. He would take some damage in order to get him off his feet but, after that . . . Tyson gets choked out, or beaten unconcious, or beaten unconcious AND choked out, or . . . well, you get the idea.
  17. kickboxing match: silva

    mma: silva

    streetfight: tyson
  18. lol at thinking tyson would be clueless if taken to the ground and lol at thinking it is that easy to get him to the ground. Tyson would murder this guy in about 3 seconds. Tyson was robbing people when he was 12 on the streets. WOW this is not even close
  19. Danny Bonaduci (sp?) does a hypothetical like this every day on his radio show. One time during the summer it was Mike Tyson vs. a Tiger... most people took Tyson.
  20. Tyson in his prime was rough as hell and in and all out street fight id back him every day. Imagine him snarling like a rabid dog where he could use his head, teeth, elbows, fists ...

And this is in his prime where stamina was much better.

    Tyson every time
  21. I don't know why you chose Silva for this instead of someone like GSP or even BJ Penn, Silva might be inclined to try and punch.

  22. its a street fight and tyson was an animal - easy choice
  23. Laser guided 20' long legs tho

That's because most people are fucking stupid...
  25. Tyson has a punchers chance, Silva should be a huge favorite.

Tyson does have an absolutely iron chin though, he's probably got a better chance than most ITT give him credit for.
