Cash advances....casino.... live life

IF you do, make sure you have the cash in your checking account. Pay for whatever and go home right away and send the check/pay online right away. It can be good if you manage it correctly but JUST DONT FUCKIN SLIP ON THE PAYMENTS
-
everyone is unique. if getting your first credit card scares you now, don't do it. wait. the time will come. this isn't something someone can really give you advice on.
-
I say pull the trigger and use your $500 limit to buy as many drinks as possible for girls at the bar. What could go wrong?

If you are responsible with money I see no reason to not have one tbh. My wife and I started using ours to pay for everything and we pay off the balance every month. We got a new card with airline miles just for this purpose so we can get some free flights for future vacations. But heres the deal, if you think youre gonna fuck it up just dont do it. When I was young I thought I was being slick by getting a couple cards and I fucked up. Took me a long time to rebuild the credit I ruined and pay off the debt I accumulated. Now my wife takes care of all the finances since she is super tight with money and it all works out well. I was 19 and it is one thing I would go back and do over. I would not have got those cards then. Self control, I dont have much.

so as long as u pay your entire bill every month there are never any interest rates? or does it just vary

Awww :*)

Having a good credit score is more important than it used to be. They run it for other things besides just car loans and mortgages these days. The other thing is if you don't have any credit right now it is going to take years to build a good score. So even if you don't plan on borrowing money for a car/house tomorrow that doesn't mean you shouldn't be trying to improve your credit score. Some people like to put all of their bills on their credit card in order to rack up as many points as possible. I personally just use my card to buy gas and big purchases. Pay it off in full every month so that you're not paying interest and by the time you need credit for a big purchase it will be much better than if you had never gotten a card.
-
My card gives me 1% cash back on all purchases. Can't get that with a debit card really. Lets face it, you have to use credit these days and keep your score clean. Just try to be more responsible than 90% of americans lol
I'm looking for a gas card now that i'm back in the states anybody know of a good one? -
I jacked off at a bank one time. Then they gave me a credit card. I don't think they knew I had just wanked, though. Just don't tell them you masturbated over by the water cooler and everything should be fine. Worked for me!

1. Google is your OT step cousin's friend. Search "best credit card offer"
2. Apply for a Name-brand bank card. They excel at reporting to the credit bureau on a regular basis. (for the OWS crowd.. there are necessary evils in every society, we don't live in caves on dirt floor)
3. (the earlier Reward Program suggestion is good) Determine what you want from the card. Travel Miles, cash back..etc. As important though, are the extras that come with the card. For example, travel mile pretty much equal cash rebate so, gee, why not just get a cash rebate card. Answer, because in addition to the miles, the travel card may come with an annual "companion flies free" coupon (300 value) or first 2 checked backs included (120 per/round trip) and so on... so EDUCATE yourself and make an informed decision.
4. Those suggesting you pay it off every month...well.... let me take it further. Find a card that has a balance transfer offer that has 0% for 12-24 months with NO..i repeat NO x-fer fee. Then, make a transfer to your checking account of (FOR SAMPLE PURPOSED ONLY) a thousand dollars. Now, you have the "MANS" money interest and fee free for at least a year. Next, and... "PAY ATTENTION BOY, I"M TALKIN' TO YA" (spoken in my FOGHORN LEGHORN VOICE)... Find out with the minimum payment is and set up an AUTO PAY for slightly more and MAKE SURE. you schedule the payment for no less than 10 days before it is due. (also, make sure your payment due date set and not floating. I"m pretty sure the government changed this recently, but, in the past the CC co's would change due dates make people delinquent to put the royal squeeze on. (one of many reasons NOT to get cozy with credit cards)
and;
5 In the final month of the offer, pay the balance of completely. You will have used the banks money for (at least) one year without interest and used bank money to begin to building a solid credit score.
I hope that helps... good luck. -
I owe big $$$ on Credit cards... pretty simple, if you have the following issues don't get a credit card... there are other ways to build your credit
- enjoy bar hopping in the city
- enjoy viewing the occasional stripper
- impulsively fly to spots to gamble on a whim
- gamble at all
- Enjoy sporting events and want primo seats
- Drink, Drug, or do anything to excess
That list is endless, I have dug my hole at 21 like many with my first CC, then again at 28 (my current age). Get a couple drinks in you, or the smell of some snatch adn that Credit card seems to the best thing since sliced bread until you wake up in a few days and realize that you didn't have that money in the first place...
If you want to build credit through credit cards go stick 6X the max limit of your credit Card in the bank. then go use the credit card, you shouldn't have too many issues, or finance a car -
Im pretty sure I have a 2% one somewhere( I should know what it is but I keep that shit in the dresser at home.
