now that scott walker has sent wisconsin into the shitter and job loss keeps rising since he took office i am thinking about moving out west.
I have family that lives in Evergreen, CO so thats a plus. I am really tired of the Midwest. I have a job but as a consultant nothing is guaranteed. I have a landscape architecture background with 3 yrs experience, a MS in project management (current job relates to that) but the market here is kinda saturated and there arent many design/manage firms for LA unlike in a big city.
The target date to move would be June. I love the outdoors in both the summer and winter. I say june to save as much as possible before I move. I really want to just kinda go and figure it out.
What the the best places to live? cost for 1 br apt furnished/unfurnished..
and anything else about it from people that live there. -
cheer for the bronco's?
-
My families dispenceries just got shut down in Ft. Collins so if you about that greenery don't go there. On the other hand they purchased 1 in Boulder starting in February might be able to set you up niceee. Denver is sick tho u should do it
-
i would apply for a card as I have a torn acl and meniscus..chronic knee pain and occasionally it gets outta place..used to pop pain killers for that but MJ would do the trick
-
1BR apartment 600-1000 depending on how nice you want. If you can live in nothign special you can find something under 500. I love Lakewood. Golden is sick as well as Morrison. All are suburbs of Denver. Come out man, it is amazing here.

Denver is so nice!
-
Do it u won't regret it at alls.. I love it here
-
Colorado is midwest also. If you're tired of the midwest you should go to california.
-
which part? Colorado is in the midwest, and california (or the east coast, but it sounds like he wants to move west) is the place to go for people who tire of the midwest. So which part is wrong?

Dont come back with some "colorado isnt the midwest" bullshit. To people who arent from colorado, it is . Go be a worm somewhere else. -
To everyone who has ever been to the midwest and also been to Colorado, specifically Denver, it is not the midwest. That's as incorrect as saying New Jersey is in New England.

Make a list of all your specific questions and PM them to me, I'd be happy to answer. Or just say fuck it and pick up and move. I have 4 great friends that I have met out here within the last year who all did the same thing and I dont think any of them are ever going "home", I'm pretty sure Colorado is their home now.
The best places to live are either going to be in loDo, Capitol Hill or Wash park.
1 BR you will be looking at between $600 on the very low end, and $1200 for something really nice in the middle of downtown. -

Oklahoma is the southwest -
nah, Oklahoma is midwest, as is colorado, but if wikipedia says it isnt it must be true. Although that map seems to be more geographically based, as opposed to culturally. Socially and culturally, colorado is the midwest with mountains.

you really are retarded -
Give it up already.

Have you been to Colorado? were not talking the eastern part of Colorado where no one lives. Denver is basically San Diego at the base of the mountains and all the ski towns are every beach town you have ever been to with skiing and snowboarding instead of surfing, nothing else needs to be said.

I spent one night in Denver and one night in Boulder.
I dont have a single bad thing to say about either. Im sure the snow and freezing ass weather could get old, but i imagine that place is awesome in the summer. -
You did get arrive during a show storm. Right now it's 50 degrees and it's supposed to be 64 tomorrow.
