Apparently people are up in arms because it looks like the WTC blowing up?
http://www.theblaze.com/stories/does...u-of-anything/

that was my first thought seeing it. (the wtc getting hit).
why would they build something that stupid looking though anyway? -
south korea? they built that there? WOW If not for the US they would be speaking mandarin right now Glad they appreciate it

Looks very much like the WTC attacks
No idea why they would think this was a good idea -
Building on left is about to topple and bring it down!

[ X ] Looks like the WTC building blowing up
Awesome building we are looking at the future people... buildings that eXtend over street levels and connect to other buildings... seems like a much more effctive use of space if you ask me -
its not build yet, suppsoe to be done by 2015
FWIW My gf studied in architecture and I showed her the pic.
After a bit i told her people on p5 thought it looked like WTC blowing up and she had not thought about it until I brought up.
It prolly doesnt remind you of WTC unless u are from the USA -
had a friend mention that the building looks like a lego version of 9/11
think if they colored the parts sticking out red. the horror -
I think it is very cool
Unfortunately I def see the 9/11 resemblance. Damn terrorists ruining cool architecture! -
hard to tell if it's the wtc without seeing all the bombs and c4 planted inside...

If you click on the link, it shows some computer generated pics of what the interior of the "cloud" part of the building will look like from the interior, and it looks pretty awesome.
Also just in general I tend to like any tall skyscrapers that have a bridge connecting them high up in the air, and in this particular case, it's even better in that the "pixelated" design causes a whole bunch of overhangs that will probably give people a tons of sick views straight down at the ground hundreds of feet below them etc, and other interesting views, when inside the building.
It's a shame that it sort of resembles the twin towers during the plane impact, because from an architecture standpoint I think it is a pretty interesting design, imo anyway. -
Thread would have been more interesting if OP made no mention of 9/11 and then seen the progression of thought w/o already implanting it in our heads

Building looks pretty awesome to me -
article states that it was created by the Daniel Libeskind, the same guy who designed the original master plan for ground zero...
