  1. FUCK THAT.. guess he really fucked himself by coming back too early. Hope its just a bad rumor

AP: Tiger Woods will miss rest of golf season, according to a person familiar with the decision .
  2. Yeah this really sucks. I'll probably still watch bits and pieces of the majors, but I bet the PGA tour and the USGA are so pissed. TV ratings for golf without Tiger playing are going to be horrrrrible.

It's pretty crazy that he had a stress fracture in his leg to deal with as well as the knee. I'mnot sure how much pain a stress fracture would cause when playing golf, but I really doubt that it feels good.

Even though it sucks that tiger won't be playing for a long time he's obviously making the right decision to quit for the rest of this year. He needs to get back to 100% ASAP and there's really no way around this.
  3. hopefully phil plays good, that will keep me entertained
  4. unfortunate

  5. I'm sure he'll run outta no where during the next major a la Pierce.
  6. ESPN's reporting it, man that makes this win even more impressive
  7. siiiiiiiiiiiiiigh
  8. Going to make golf tough to watch for the rest of the season. good thing they're some other great guys to watch, but no one comes close to Tiger. Fed Ex cup and everything else just became reachable for the other golfers and yea, ratings will be on a steady decline for the rest of the season.

  9. Wow this sucks. At least I'll still get to see Phil choking under pressure. That will make up for it.

  10. He really wasn't that good anyways. I mean he double bogeyed the first hole almost every day, kept missing the fairway, hit in the bunker countless times...

    sigh, golf sux now.
  11. lol good one lefty, speaking of leftys. phil will get all excited and giddy now and chunk off the rest of his season too -while still playing. its just what he does.

  12. NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

  13. good thing he isnt a hockey player, his career would be done...how do u get hurt playing golf? panzy
  14. Damn, looks like Ogilvy will have to win from here out.
  15. Jesus what did he eat, a cat?

I'm not really sure why the USGA would be pissed. They just had their big tournament for the year, and Tiger provided them with a great performance and a win despite being injured. Seems like a pretty good deal for them.
  17. Man that's tough for Tiger. Ah well, he did have a good year winning 5 out of the 7 tournies he played... so sick.

And to the dude saying Tiger is a pansy... You go try to play golf with a torn ligament in your left knee. I just f'd my left knee snowboarding like a week ago and there's no way I could swing a golf club right now. Swinging a golf club puts a lot of stress on the outside of your front leg. Now I'm not going to say that the twisting from a golf swing is going to cause an injury in your knee, but if that knee is already in pain, torn, etc, then you're going to have a very difficult time finishing your golf swing, which is going to most likely cause you to have a tough time getting the ball to go where you'd like...making golf a much more difficult game. Also consistently making this motion with an injured knee is going to damage the knee further, which could affect his career later down the road when his body "isn't like it used to be" ...so calling him a pansy is a bit of a stretch...Smart might be a better word.
  18. asdflkjasd;lfkja;lskdjf;laksdjfalskdfj.........and I have Ryder Cup tickets!!!!!1111111;lkjf;lkjfa
  19. What if this guy never really gets back and he doesn't get to 19 or 83 all because he wanted to get back too early and win this one? Can you imagine the regret?

I root against this guy pretty much every week because he's like the Yankees or the 90's Bulls. There's such a sense of inevitability that I'm pretty much in perpetual root-for-the-underdog mode, but I'd be sick if the greatest player ever doesn't get the numbers to back it up.
  20. They said Tiger hurt his knee around the time of the 07 open running, and decided not to have it operated on. Then the stress fracture happened rehabbing the knee for the US open.
  21. That is tough for the tour, and tiger. At this point injuries are the only thing stopping him from getting 19+

someone just made 10 million though, obv tiger woulda won the fedex cup

No chance on this... the stress fracture and anterior cruciate reconstructions are standard heals and he will be in good health for 2009, at least from these injuries.

alright this makes a bit of sense, i was wondering how common these injuries are for big time golfers?

hope that dude gets healthy and takes his time doing it.
  24. I am going to miss rootinig against him and him throwing his temper tantrums like a 3 year old when someone blinks in the galllery or when he hits a bad shot.
  25. wow, makes what he did last weekend sfsick... gg 10 mil... oh well always next year.. but i bet the next major we see 10000 fucking replays of shots from the open...
  26. does he have a chance to STILL win the fedex cup? how many points did he do it with last year? lefty was the closest last year so lets say lefty keeps blowing dudes, can he technically hold on?
  27. It will make our usual Ryder cup hammering of America a whole lot easier. Tigers usually good for a point in the singles.

Maybe he hurt it pounding away at that sweet piece of ass he calls his wife.
  29. I dont think its possible. I am pretty sure the points reset prior to the 4 "playoff" events at the end of the season. pretty sick tho the lead he has only playing 6 events.
