I guess I can live w/ this. I was legit disappointed to read "I hope the Skins don't draft him" in your previous post. Idk why, but I feel like I need you blessing since I would just be learning about this guy if it weren't for your posts about him.

I've read fair points for and against the Skins drafting RGIII, but the anticipation is definitely building. If we lose out we're looking at a top 5 pick.

EDIT: BTW, I meant to ask you in the Heisman thread, but are you actually boys w/ him or was that just a figure of speech: "gotta go watch my boy win the Heisman"??

lol, nah. I don't know him. been too far removed from Waco scene since he has been there

I think he could have success as a Redskin, it's just not where I want him to land. the near future of that franchise just does not look bright to me. maybe Robert could quickly change that tho

  10. that body paint pic is fabulous

  11. We will snap welcome waco as a homer!
Skins need a qb to move into leet level. We need a qb who has the confidence his talents are all we need to get there. I see a skill set and personality that would do that. Obv grossman cant move them up lulz.
Thats the major roadblock imo. Its an on going project that shannys working on but it takes a few years for there to be enough talent to get to get there, for depth purposes. Once its there it will click into gear. Just need our leader now!
  12. Interesting thing Dilfer just said on Sunday Countdown. The fact that Tebow and the Broncos are seeing a brand new defense every week, one that they haven't seen on tape yet, explains partly why Tim and the rest of the offense is so disjointed and low scoring early on. But as they see more looks, they are able to call more appropriate plays and Tebow starts to see the passing lanes and tight windows more clearly. It makes sense that running an offense that no one else runs in the NFL would result in giving you very little tape to study on opponents as to how they will try to defend your unique offense. Other than Tim's intangibles, its the first logical, football reason I have heard for the Dr. Jekyll/Mr. Hyde type performances. If true then it will be interesting to see how Tim and the offense do early in games down the road as they face teams for the 2nd or 3rd time..

“You gotta have a plan, but realize that plans don’t always work out. Plan B is the NFL,” Griffin says. “Whenever you ask me what are my plans, the first thing that comes out of my mouth is not to be an NFL player. I want to go to law school, I want to be a lawyer, maybe a sports agent. That’s the plan. All of that other stuff doesn’t matter until I’m done here at Baylor.”

lol what a load of bullshit. If he really wants to do those things, just do them instead. Their is no law that says you have to play in the NFL

where do you find 24 packs for $5, i haven't seen em that cheap in years. Now they are usually $7, and $6 at best if on sale. This is at walmart, which should be the cheapest i think. (unless their is a big sale elsewhere)
  24. I'm rooting for the tebows over the pats today
  25. I really don't understand RGIII's logic.

Sure, you've "always wanted to be a lawyer" and would like to get involved in contract law or player representation, but does he have any idea what he's getting himself into with the current job climate in the legal profession?

He's got the opportunity to snap make millions in his early 20s because he has an incredible skill set for that profession. I'm sure he's a smart guy and I don't doubt that he could be a successful lawyer, but his NFL skill set >>>>> any academic/lawyer skill set he might have or develop.

WHY ON EARTH you would turn down millions in the NFL to slug it out in one of the most competitive and overpopulated professions makes no sense, no matter how sure you are that "this is my life calling." Doubt any serious legal entity is going to hire him because he was a terrific college football player.

    In conclusion:
    1. Make your millions in the NFL.
    2. Profit.
    3. Go to law school.
    4. ?????
    5. Profit.

Pretty sure he will be able to just buy a law firm with nfl cash. Also, having a celeb lawyer can get you in the door to get big clients. Maybe he will even be a great lawyer to boot. Lol. If not he can hire them.

That's my point - go to law school, but first cash-in on your incredibly lucrative talent. I have no doubt he can be a very successful lawyer.

he isn't talking about NOT playing in the NFL, he is talking about coming back and continuing on the path to becoming a lawyer. he is going to play in the NFL, just maybe not next year.

I still think he will come out tho.
