    i saw my waitress when i got there, she took my order, and brought my food, then the check, that was it

    i ordered chicken wings, im drunk taking my time and they get cold(nobodys fault but my own) however i want to heat them up but cant find my waitress, so i go to the bar and tell the guy he takes my food and sends it to the microwave, a kid(mike) brings my food out, then i finally catch my waitress as she is sprinting by and manage to ask her for another coke(only my 2nd, im eating fucking hot wings bish)

    so obv mike brings my coke too, so i go to the bar and get chenge and tell the bartender to give my tip to micheal bc he helped me out and my waitress isnt to be found

    so....

    the bill is $31.75 i put 32 even in there(i normally tip stupid well) and i get a pen and write on a napkin

    hana(waitress name)-

    I gave your tip to michael because you suck at your job. You should seek other employment.

    Perhaps she was busy? Do you write notes to your doctor if he is late seeing you and get the janitor to look you over?

    well done. it is her job, she performed poorly. she doesn't deserve a bonus just like any schlep in the corporate world who performs poorly doesn't usually receive a bonus

    loool at tip=bonus, do you know how many people would work in the food industry if tips werent automatically assumed as part of a person's salary... answer is only the poors and the homeless.

    maybe the whole system would change, and they would be paid a reasonable amount for the work they do and get a tip directly related to how they preform.

    If they were paid reasonably for what they do, they would make less than yardworkers, making over 100$ in a night for asking people what kind of food they want then bringing it to them is unreasonable.

    Yeah, but you're not really dealing with anything, don't be an incompetant fuck and 99/100 times you're dealing with someone consists of asking them what they want to eat/drink, then getting it. Shit I used to work in a restaurant with food-runners and bussers, I didn't do shit all day, except listen to my coworkers complain about how hard the job was. Nothing better than listening to an 18-21 year old whining about how hard talking to people is.

    yeah being a waiter clearly isnt the toughest job in the world, my point is just tips are clearly very important for people in the food service industry, and yeah there are some very rare situations where it might be ok to stiff a waiter/waitress, but the situation above really does not qualify in my mind. Maybe some info was left out, but it just sounds like the waitress had a lot on her hands and had someone cover for her which is not rare.

    <3 the $.25 tip....I had this happen once where my gf and I were seated for quite some time even without menus, and these 3 sorority bitches sit behind us and get waited on IMMED, and im like what the fuck. After the waittress is done with them, she come over to us, disgustedly, and asks us what we want. Im like what the fuck we dont even have menus yet....blah blah blah we finally get them, get our food after the sorority bitches who came in 20 min. later (obv), so when the tip thing comes I tell I will pay in cash. I left a single quarter in the folding thing with a note saying "you honestly suck at your job, and in life in general, GFY" and walked out, not paying for a fucking thing. When we pulled out of our spot i saw the waittress running out of the restaurant with tears in her eyes looking for us. LOFL dumb bitch, i hope it was her sorority house that burnt down last year.

    was she hot? because if she was, she's probably used to getting decent tips no matter what, so she thinks she's doing a great job. you definitely did the right thing, and taking the time to write that note was awesome. if you had not done that, she just would have thought you were cheap. i guarantee she thought about that note all night.
