60k is probably a softer compound which might make it better in the snow.

Just went with 4 new 60k, since my car will see snow for the first time here in upstate NY. I'm starting to miss Florida.

Ended up going with the Michelin Pilot Exalto A/S from Tirerack.com - $470 total (shipped) then I get a $70 rebate and probably cost like $60 to get them installed at your local WalMart. They got pretty good reviews.

all seasons are shit in the snow.

Edited By: aj_law Oct 29th, 2010 at 04:53 PMIf you want to go with an all season that's good in the snow, you have to go with the Nokian WR G2s. EOS. They're the only all season tire with a winter rating. FWIW, they're also one of the higher rated all season tires by Consumer Reports.Originally Posted by time4badbeat

Kinda on the soft side so tread life isn't great, but they are excellent in inclement weather. There is nothing better. Put them on the wife's minivan to replace the OEMs and she loved 'em.
You should be able to get a set of 4 installed for around 5 hundy. -
No matter how much money I have or how rich I someday get, I will always hate buying tires. And I will always go with the cheapest options.
The entire process kills me.
customer: "How much for your cheapest xxxx 15-inch tire?"
tire guy: "$59.99"
customer: "Ok that's fine. I need four of them."
tire guy: "alright. that'll be $387.43"
customer (doing math in his head): "wait... what?" -
Exactly - always cost $400+ and you spend it and never think about it agaiin

I actually saw those and the treads looked pretty good.
