  1. I thought last night's episode was great. I can totally relate to being pissed over a stupid thing like a shush. Years ago while wasted at a party some guy kept calling me Chief and after an hour of it I was fed up and tried to swing at him but my friend saw it coming a held my arm while when I pulled it back. I do stupid things after drinking Jack Daniels.
  2. Only good episode this season was Chardee MacDennis

  3. This episode is also making fun of "Catfish" a documentary film that many believe to be fake.

1 episode (2, if we count the 1st episode of the season) being good doesn't really mean much though man. At this point the show is a farcry of what it used to be. It's truly a shame because it was once one of my favorite shows on TV.

Yea it was ok. Could have been a middle of the pack episode in previous seasons imo.
  9. Watched The Home of the Original Kitten Mittens & The Nightman Cometh in syndication in the same night. The golden era. Also, The Gang Wrestles for the Troops.
My new favorite reruns to look out for on the tvguide.

None of the last 2 seasons' episodes compare at all.

Episode ten of this season is called How Mac Got Fat tho
  10. have to agree, this show is becoming unwatchable, the rest of this thread should be about the old episodes

my personal faves from what i remember:

    mac and charlie die
the gang solves the gas crisis
    the gang gives back
    mac and dennis: man hunters
    kitten mittens
dennis and dee go on welfare

these might be my favorite 6 eps, couldnt decipher the order of them though if my life depended on it

  12. The DENNIS system is imo the best episode of any sitcom ever but I suppose that's debatable.

Also, this quote from the welfare episode:

Frank: Charlie, you've got a lot of balls, stealing my money. This shows leadership, I am promoting you to management.
  13. ive never seen the dennis system and dee dates a retarded person

looks like i know what im doing for the next hour
  14. Gas crisis and nightman ftw

Yes, please get on that. I still crack up just thinking about the Dee Dates a Retarded Person episode.
  16. The Nightman Cometh is my favorite ever

I've actually felt compelled to turn a few of the episodes from this season off midway. I'll continue to watch, but it'll be hard for them to hit te level they were at for the first 2 or 3 seasons. That's not unusual though, a lot of shows come out of the gate really strong for a few seasons and then taper off.

I've shut off 2 different episodes this season (the game episode and the one where Frank tells that horrifyingly unfunny story about the stripper). If I were a stronger man, I'd remove it from my DVR. I don't think it's ever going back to where it was the 1st 5 seasons.

Speaking of which, my top 5 (in no particular order):

    Gas Crisis
Dennis & Dee's Mom Dies (party mansion episode)
    DENNIS System
    Who Pooped The Bed?
    Gang Gets Held Hostage

If anybody who has said they've enjoyed season 7 also says they'd compare any episode this season to those 5, you should be shot.

Yeah that was great delivery. However it seems like a rather unfunny Curb spinoff of a social interaction stretched into 22 minutes.
  21. I thought this episode was different to the rest of the season, and more of a throwback to the old sunny style. That makes it the best of the season for me (but still not a great ep compared to old sunny). This episode did have one of the GOAT TV characters in Steve Billings from The Shield too.

I agree 100% with this. The premise of the episode was kinda lame and the Frank story was terrible, but I actually enjoyed the Dennis/Charlie story (probably the nicest thing I've said about season 7 so far). Them posting a carciatiure of the guy around town seems like something the "old" gang would do. It's believable that their characters would actually think that's a good idea, which is what makes it funny. It's not overtly grotesque or absurd like most of their actions this season have been. For once, it didn't feel like they were trying too hard. The "new" gang would've probably just walked into him in an alley while he was having gay sex with a bum forcing Frank to projectile vomit while Dee says, "God damnit, you guys," like 11 times.

That's really where I feel like the biggest difference between the first 5 seasons and the last 2 have been. The first 5 feel like you're peeking in on a group of misguided idiots constantly trying to one-up each other and take advantage of somewhat common situations; it felt like you were watching them live their everyday lives. The last 2 seasons have felt like I'm watching 5 people who know a camera is following them, and thus they act out in ridiculous ways because of it.

looked into "Catfish" and the plot sorta mirrors a story I read in Wired magazine.
