  1. I was reaing a post in OT earlier and the OP stated they were worried about persuing a career because they wouldn't be done with school until 28 y/o and at that age it is getting too late to start a family. Your thoughts?

I dont want any kids until I'm 30 and pulling in 100k plus and have a house. fwiw

  2. I dont think thats bad. I have neighbors who just had a kid and they're in their 50's, which I think is too late.
  3. I'm 38 and have a 3 year old. Wife is only 26 but still. I dont think anything under 40 is too late. I also have a 18 year old from a previous marriage. Deff makes it easier when you are already set.
  4. It's not too late at 28. People are getting married later and later in life. You need time to enjoy your spouse, travel ,etc. Do the things that become a little harder when you start a family.

P.S. I'm 34, my wife and I are starting now
  5. Not sure if I want kids. I'm turning 29 soon and my wife just turned 30. We have our dream house that we'll be in for a long time (got it brand new) and have a little less than 14 years left on the mortgage.

I was kinda thinking that if we have kids, we wouldn't do it for a few years. But for a lot of people a woman starting to have kids in her mid 30's is pretty late.
  6. Agree with what a lot of you said about being set. I don't have any kids, but my friends that have had them all say u have no idea how expensive it is and that it makes it so much less stressful if u get a couple bucks under your belt first.
