  1. Tonight on History Channel.

There is no way it can be better than the original... so, as a Top Gear (UK) fan, don't watch it tonight, kthnx

heard Adam Corolla was considered, would have been a saver

  4. I've watched an unhealthy amount of the UK Top Gear.

I can say, with confidence, that the American version of the show is not merely worse, but rather, worse by an UNBELIEVABLE margin.

For example, those of you who are thinking "Oh, it's probly like how the people who loved the UK version of The Office are always whining about how much better it was than the American version of the office".

    No.

This is not anything like that example/situation.

    At all.

This is about a trillion times more severe of a difference.

If the UK version of The Office was about an 85/100 and the American version was about a 65/100...

The UK version of Top Gear was about an 85/100 and the American version was about a 0.00001/100

HOLY FUCK this show sucked compared to the UK version. Not even REMOTELY in the ballpark of being anywhere near as good as a post-Chipotle shitmountain floating in a putrid gas station toilet bowl, let alone the UK version of Top Gear.

    WOW that fucking blew.

    Wow.

America has, and has had, tons of great shows over the years. Far more great shows than the UK has ever had. And, there have been plenty of shows and movies where the American version was far better than the foreign, original version. However, in this particular instance, the American version didn't just not live up to the UK version, rather it got shredded to pieces harder than a Laotian pornstar in a draft horse stable.

    imo
  5. top gear uk is an amazing show too, so any slip in quality will decline along an exponentially worse scale as opposed to a more direct relationship of suck slippage.
