  1. I have to say Skateboarding....What say you?

Think about trying to do a nosegrind down a round rail twelve stair before you post....Or a kickflip from rooftop to rooftop....
  2. can you really consider those moves tough when an 11 year old kid can do them?

    Nyjah Huston (now 13):

  3. golf because you don't get a guaranteed contract before the season and you're playing for your salary every week
  4. hitting a major league pitch is by far the toughest thing to do in sports. you literally have a split second to make up your mind wheather you should swing or not, at the same time you need to be aware of movement of the pitch.
  5. The sport that always makes me amazed. Is the IRon Man triathlon.

    2.4 miler swim
    112mile bike
    26.2mile run

    FUCK THat

all tho I guess maybe its not that amazing since a 77 year old woman can do it. But it is still amazing.
  6. Scrabble.
  7. just making contact with the ball? no way...

but if you mean hitting the ball forward into a pre-determined triangular area beginning at home plate and extending outward without an opposing player catching it before it hits the ground or fielding it and making a play to get the batter out at any given plate...

    then maybe.

  8. ok SCD, so far you've told two people that their ideas are "wrong" and "maybe true"

    what is your idea?

btw, I agree with Baseball. Especially considering that there is millions spent on research to determine where you're weakest and then you have amazing athletes exploit it
  9. hockey, boxing, triathlon
  10. lacrosse

  11. Ironman would be hard. The guys who ran 7 marathons on 7 continents in 7 days must have been pretty tough.
  12. Golf

One guy, Dean Karnazes, ran 50 marathons in 50 states in 50 days. Insano.
  14. Ultra-marathons obv, regular humans can't do that shit or aren't supposed to be able to do that shit. Obv everything is going to be hard at the elite level and obv a lot of the stuff won't be comparable, but LOL at hitting a 90+ mph fastball being the toughest thing to do in sports... but I did hear that on TV one time.
  15. In terms of skateboarding, the younger kids are usually the crazy ones, because they have no fear - don't relate to getting injured badly - and heal faster, lots of energy....But thanks for posting that picture....Anyone can "hit" a fastball from Nolan Ryan by getting lucky and swinging, but you can't get lucky doing what Elite skateboarders do....No way

  16. Um...GOLF is the clear answer here

Its the fact that it could be a 90 mph fastball, 88 mph sinker, 88 mph cutter, 80 mph slider, 80 mph splitter, and so on.....so in a split second you have to decide how fast the pitch is moving, where is the point of contact, will it be a ball or strike, then put the bat on the ball and not hit it at somebody or foul
  18. Triathalons are def tough, but you can quit at any time and get picked up by someone driving a truck, golf cart, or boat.....Yes it takes endurance, and is VERY TOUGH....I would put it as a contender with skateboarding....Different animals though

Not one of those triathalon people would leap over and down a 15 stair rail whilst a board was busy flipping over and over beneath them....

  19. I always wondered this about skateboarders, how many times do they fall and drill their nuts on the rail when practicing different tricks?

Is skateboarding even a sport??? Seriously, Its a judged event and judged events I do not consider sport because they use someones judgement.I am not hating on skateboarding and have skated in the past and shit.its just that I would throw Boarding in with Ice skating, snowboard halfpipe, gymnastics and stuff like that.

If they had some sort of way to determine a winner in a skateboarding event other than by judging like snowboard cross does where there is a identified winner then I would call it a sport.

edit:Oh forgot the whole reason I even quoted you.Fuck it ,lost my train of thought.
  23. Brian,

My cousin actually runs a company that makes bicycles ONLY for triathalon nuts

    http://www.elitebicycles.com/

The bike frames weigh like 2lbs....and cost above 5k

I have much respect for triathaloners.....

Have you ever skateboarded on a higher level?

Google Jamie Thomas's "Leap of Faith".....which was from over 10 years ago....Tell me what you think about that....Youtube it....

  24. I have no idea wtf you are talking about.

You just downplayed triathalons because you can get picked up in a golf-cart midrace.
  25. Yeah, exhaustion and dehydration are their two worst outcomes....in terms of Triathalons....

Think about what risks Professional Skateboarders take....Much higher....

Also a much higher degree of coordination combined with risk.....

Pro stunt bike riders then have to be the best then since they basically do the same shit boarders do only on a bike which is much more dangerous. Ding ding ding.winna?
  28. so if risk to coordination analysis is our standard for toughest sport isn't this guy right^^^^^
  29. I am actually going to throw another curve ball at you guys (no pun intended for the baseball voters).....

See what Professional BMX riders do....Actually just as crazy, if not crazier than skateboarders.....I am not talking about the racers either....

Everyone has a perspective on this, because everyone has riden a bike before....

    Think Dave Mirra....

Running, swimming, biking......swinging at a pitch and getting lucky......or double backflip tailwhip 30 + feet in the air.....hmmmmmnnn

  30. actually boxing is wayyyyyy more risky than MMA, Skateboarding, and riding a bike, it also takes some solid coordination.

I'm going with walking across a tightrope over a shark-infested tank as my answer though.
