Hey guys, I need your help. I'm taking classes at Miami Dade right now and am transferring to a university next year. I got in to both FSU and UCF and am torn between the two. Positives of FSU is the better reputation, better athletics, and how it's a totally different vibe from Miami which I don't like. Positives of UCF is the school is newer and nicer, lots to do in Orlando, not far from the Tampa Hard Rock, and an easier drive back home. (4 hours compared to 9) If youve gone to either of these schools or know anything about them, please let me know your opinion!

UCF by a mile.

FSU is way better IMO. Obv I am very biased as I did graduate from there, but I think it would safe to say the chicks are way hotter in tallahasse than UCF. I have a bunch of friends that went to UCF and they had a great time too. Pick whichever one works for you academically as that is the main reason you are going to go to either or. If you have any questions about FSU feel free to ask me.

I loved going to FSU and was always uber bored when visiting friends at UCF. FSU has a much better academic program, the sports programs aren't even close. FSU is nationally known for it's women.
Close to UF and easy to cross the border to pick up 40's in Georgia, a great gym (not sure about ucf), the Capital which offers interesting jobs, tradition and history and also Tallahassee is a less expensive city than Orlando.
I've made the drive from Tally to C.S. so many times and have made always made those road trips memorable.
When u think of Orlando you think about Disney. When I think about Tally I remember drunken, slutty, beutiful whores slobing my knob in the fountain across from Doak Campbell. -
Florida State 35-20

UCF and it's not even close.
Tally suck a big one. The only pro to going to FSU are the chicks. But it's WAY overshadowed with everything that sucks about FSU and Tallahassee. -
I grew up in Orlando and came up to FSU for school......really depends on your preferences.....Tallahassee has a much more southern small town feel to it and Orlando has a lot of traffic and actually a lot of crime especially around the UCF area (my family all still lives there so I've heard a lot about this). My buddy DJ's at all the UCF bars which is a lot like the Tallahassee bar scene but Tallahassee has nothing to compare with downtown Orlando which is actually a lot of fun but not really my scene as I like the bar scene a lot more. The one major difference for me is the traffic in Orlando is a billion times worse compared to up here but also like you said the drive back is a much bigger pain in the ass home from tally then it would be from orlando. Girls really are great both places seems its a better girl to guy ratio up here but I have nothing to back that up just what it seems to me. If ya have any questions feel free to PM me both schools are great and I really think it comes down to if ya enjoy the small town feel or like the big city feel more. I'd recommend def. visiting both though if ya haven't already.

Hey thanks for all the responses guys.
I've been a Seminole fan all my life and always wanted to go to FSU but recently everyone has been trying to tell me UCF is way better. Here in Miami the traffic fucking sucks and puts me on life tilt. Never lived anywhere but here but I've always wanted to get out of the city so thats a big reason I'm leaning towards fsu. I've briefly visited both, not directly but been in the area and driven through the campuses and they both seem nice. I'm probably leaning more towards FSU because thats what I had always planned on. thanks again everyone, appreciate your input.
one more thing... to those going/been to FSU... any places to play poker up there, indian casino perhaps? -
Pretty sure there is a poker room in monticello.
Looked it up there is one but I have no idea how it is here is a link to it. http://www.jckcpokerroom.com/index.php
Maybe cougars or someone who is there can tell you. there is also one in jasper maybe better -
ya there is a dog track in monticello that has poker same rules as anywhere else in the state which sucks......its about a 30 minute drive from campus or so.....like i said any other questions feel free to PM me and I can give ya my AIM.....either school is great like i said before just matters on your preferences.
