So Tito goes from being one punch away from having his UFC career ended to headlining a card in his next fight. Should be an interesting main event to say the least, but the odds say differently.

Tito is in the main because the string of injuries at the top of the lhw division. I was shocked that he took out Bader for his first finish in years. Rashad is coming of a long layoff so Tito may have a shot. Hoping Rashad wins because the buildup for a fight with him and Bones would be great, assuming he takes out Rampage.

It is somewhat of a nostalgic feel to having Tito and Vitor in the top 2 fights. They were supposed to headline UFC 33, the first national PPV Zuffa had after buying the UFC (Belfort pulled out for Vladimir Matyshenko). That was supposed to be the show that put the UFC back on the map. Instead, they had what Dana White called "the worst card I've ever seen" at the worst possible time, as all 5 live fights went to decision. Many thought that showing would set the UFC back for years, if not forever. It's really cool that 10 years later they've probably far exceeded any expectations they ever could have had before the Ortiz/Belfort fight. It's a very full circle feel.
It was also that show that caused the UFC to change the rule to allow referees to stand the fight up if there was no action. I think we can all agree that was one of the most clutch rule changes ever. -
I put a small wager on Ortiz vs Bader last fight. Might do the same here. There's got to be some be some value in betting such a huge dog in the UFC.

haven't watched a UFCppv in 6months. Having a pool/bbq party at my cousin's house while getting ready for this. Can't wait. Been a fan of Vitor since he was 19 and can't stand Tito at all and am rooting for Rashad hard in this fight

Why the hell does a 14 year old need a babysitter?
-
Am I crazy for thinking Vitor will lose this fight?
-
Rivera, Belfort, MacDonald, Evans . . . and it kills me to pick that bastard Rashad.

Not sure about that play as I'm not an MMA guy, but I'm betting the same way just to have a little interest - feels like a sucker bet, so I'm just gonna play it small tho.
