Sick...GOAT
-
"Segal punch my face all da time" lol dude is sick.
-
Seriously where does Anderson go next? I think this GSP fight needs to happen with neither of their titles on the line. The jump to light heavyweight seems like it would be too much of a body change to happen
-
gsp would get tooled
-
GSP does NOT want to fight that jab
What makes GSP so good is that he's smart.
And he's smart enough to not try to have a go with the spider. -
does anyone have a link to the post fight presser?

Anderson has been known to walk around in upwards of 230 pounds when he's not training. This doesn't matter tho obv, all that matters is his fight weight which I highly doubt is much higher than ~200. He has never had a problem cutting weight and often weighs in under 185. He even said he would fight GSP at 170 around the time of the maia fight. He's got a huge lanky frame but he's not the heaviest dude in the division, chael is bigger.

i'll take either at around +200

Yeah I'm just thinking about what would be a more realistic healthy weight for him. I think it would be harder to bulk up and fight at someones natural weight which could potentially be 20 lbs more than his previous max weight. Ideally him and GSP can agree on a weight to meet at and Dana takes care of both of them $$ wise. IMO neither of them have a worthy contender in either of their weight classes and we're pretty much waiting on age to catch up with them.

Edited By: UncleLeo Aug 28th, 2011 at 05:57 AMThis 100%, Silva would beat GSP, obviously no one in middle weight can touch him. Jon Jones v Silva would be the ultimate test imo. Unfortunately I don't see this happening. Silva is the best p4p fighter but at a weight class that is just not the most competitive. Light HW is where it's at. The only "challenge" Silva fought at this weight was Griffin which was an embarrassment. He needs to beat a top tier light HW to be considered the best EVER imo.Originally Posted by The Alchemist
silva's skill is on another level. it's like watching an ali/mayweather hybrid fight mma. the rhythm and timing of his tactics, the lethal precision of his technique..it's just sick to watch. I would love to see him fight jon jones at light heavy. I don't think middleweight is enough of a challenge for him.

Shogun versus Hendo should be fun, and a hell of a way for UFC to start on Fox.

Did you already forget that cheal sonnen beat the crap outta silva for 5 rounds before losing at the last second? Or that Luter almost beat him as well. Griffin never was/is/will be a challenge for silva. -
luter couldnt make it past 2 rounds, and didnt even make weight for the fight anyways. Silva had a broken rib or some shit when he fought chael and still won. the thing is everybody has off nights, however the dude wrecks everyone in his path. Fact is he has fought 14 times in the UFC, only 2 have went to decision.. No losses! Countless records that he holds. In my mind he is the greatest UFC fighter to ever live, pound for pound

This. Have a feeling this is actually going to be the Main Event with Ben Henderson vs Clay Guida as the co-main event.

1st card on Fox is only going to be 2 fights since Pacman is fighting the same night. -
Silva was hurt going into that fight and Sonnen was roided up.

Regardless of if Silva ever fights anyone in LHW he will be the best EVER hands down. -
um just a year ago chael sonnen beat his ass handily! if sonnen gets by brian stann, silva better be worried cause sonnen is gonna beat his ass again!

Where did you see this? I havent seen it mentioned anywhere. Would make sense because Dana said he was waiting to see what happened last night before he made the headliner for Fox. Most ppl were guessing he was waiting for the Silva fight but maybe it was actually the Rua/Griffin one instead.

which he should have been all along, hendo sucks at 185
