  3. I wanna see him win because he should have had it last time.
  4. How does someone take that beating and still stand I dont know
  5. Fuck yeah!!! 2 more rounds of that and he'll have to get finished to lose.
  6. I just type in MMA-TV in Sopcast and thats worked every time
  7. yawn
  8. god damn maynard punch his face
  9. Dejavu.... Maynard crushes the 1st. People wonder how Edgar is still alive. Edgar not only alive, but wins the 2nd.
  10. wish he woulda kept with the uppercuts that round. lets see if he goes back to them

  11. This is like the 2nd fight on instant replay. A draw after round 3 lol... if they split 4-5, edgar will probably win because some judge won't score round 1 as 10-8 maynard. Maynard has got to be aggressive here.
  12. YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS!!!!!!!!!!!
  13. wow. didnt think Frankie could hurt him. shiest

  14. Maynard deserved that. Infinite respect for Edgar after that fight.
  15. terrible fight
  16. Nice... haahhhaha
  17. Wrestling champ... brings the who's who of the wrestling community to the fight with him.... think he may have attempted one takedown in 4 rounds. You don't box Frankie Edgar lol.

Probably because Edgar is an incredible wrestler himself and the talent level of both is so close its not much of an edge honestly. esp in the octagon when you can do more than wrestle obviously. In a straight wrestling match yeh maynard would have an edge most likely but they are extremely close there. So Maynard is naturally going to go to be aggressive and use his "knock him out" style and box when he's clearly the bigger, stronger fighter.

And again its not like that style was wrong. I think that would be a little results oriented there. Edgar got his face basically caved in for the 2nd time in a row in the 1st round. I know this is the UFC but hell most guys are done there. But unfortunatley for Maynard, Edgar has one hell of a chin

  19. That worked fine Round 1, but in almost every weight class that never leads to a win. Look at the champs of each weight class. Cruz, Aldo, Edgar, GSP, Silva, Jones, hell even Velasquez. All of them are champs because they can stick and move with anybody and leave the big, hulking, 1 hit KO types looking like chumps.
  20. sucks that both my Ohio boys got beat tonight

And there's ur answer. Clearly thats not Maynard's game. Just because you can throw haymakers and have extreme power doesnt mean you can turn it off and all a sudden box. He isnt that stick and move type guy. Edgar obviously has that in his arsenal though and his speed and defense in those situations make it hard to begin with. Maybe thats why he's the champ and Maynard isnt?

  23. Great comeback by Edgar. Maynard should have tried to end it at the start of rd2 but he fucked around. Should have learned from the Melvin JLau fight. Don't get cocky
  24. My thoughts on the PPV:

-Guillard got cocky, and Lauzon is good enough to make him pay. Got caught, and got tapped.
-Phan Garcia, was a tremendous fight. Leonard Garcia always puts on a show, and I really enjoy watching him.
-Chael with a dominate performance, and I hope he gets his rematch so Anderson can embarrass him.
-Aldo looked tremendous, and Florian showed up small in a big fight again. Cannot believe Florian thought the strategy he used against BJ would work against Aldo. I never wanna see Florian get a title shot again.
-Edgar is one tough dude. Thought he was done especially since Maynard didn't punch himself out in the 1st this time. But Maybard sat back in the 2nd and let Frankie find his groove, and ultimately got put to sleep, which shocked me.

Overall a great card, and can't wait until GSP/Condit, and Penn/Diaz

  26. GIVE US ALDO VS EDGAR
  27. Edgar would destroy Aldo. He would be the Silva/GSP of the 145 division, if he chose to make the cut. No one would touch him. Edgar could very likely the first two division champ in the UFC (cannot remember if Randy, or someone else has held two at the same time).

Loved Sonnen calling out Anderson for the "Loser leaves town" match . . . LOL'
  28. Edgar doesn't destroy anyone...usually. I'm not even sure if what happened tonight was real life. Props to frankie, he has unreal heart and he does deserve a lot of credit but I just think it was flukie, the finish that is not him winning.

I would bet a whole lot of money that he wouldn't "destroy" aldo.

    Sonnen is god.
