I don't really follow UFC but watched tonight, but from the pictures they showed of Cain, I cant imagine him having a shot against Lesnar.

The only heavy left that can challenge Brock is JDS. Brock will walk through Cain.

Brock Lesnar = badass (I didn't think there was any way he was going to survive that first round) -
WTF?? really the best ever???? Fedor would assrape him if they fought, Brock has a huge upside tho, and I am a fan

Shane shouldn't be disappointed. He is a seriously bad ass motherfucker too and I'd love to see him get another shot. He deserves it. -
Totally agree. I didn't watch the whole thing but I did see the Lesnar fight.

I was wondering if there have been any betting scandals associated with it. It seems like a clean sport to bet on because the dudes are so competitive. -

I think fedor is probably the better fighter but I think he would have a lot of trouble dealing with Brock's tremendous size and stregth and would probably not be able to beat him in the cage... -
do any mma fans believe this fight wouldve been stopped in the 1st if it wasnt for this being a heavyweight title fight? There were 3 different occasions where it looked some refs wouldve stepped in.
Loved watching Lesnar get his ass kicked by punches only to survive in the end. Wonderful story and tonights PPV was worth every penny. -
don't be a pussy, there was no spot where this fight would be stopped. Just rewatched it and carwin was flailing with brock fully covered up with all his senses in tact.

don't get me wrong, he was geting pummeled to shit, but at no point was he not defending intelligently. -
pussy? I was just asking the loyal MMA fans if they believed this fight "couldve" been stopped for rules that arent clear to me. Technical like.....

absolutely felt it could have been stopped if the ref wanted. no doubt the main event card helped factor into that, not only was brock down the first time pummelled, he was down a second time as well. im glad they didnt stop it, because thats a weak spot to stop a fight, let alone a major title fight as this, and thats why it wasnt stopped. but yeah, if this was some undercard, or local fight, that was defintely possible.

Edited By: Howdoiplayxx Jul 4th, 2010 at 10:21 AMLOL "defending intelligently"....please dont come in here saying he was, he was curled up in the fetal position and every 10 seconds he would throw his leg out or try to grab a wrist of carwins...rewatch the fight and show me when carwin is ontop dropping elbows (not his pussy little hammerfists to try to get the fight stopped, im talkin big elbows or punches) where lesnar is "defending intelligently"Originally Posted by Vesper

10/10 times that fight is stopped if its ANYONE other than lesnar on the bottom and with the magnitude of this fight, no way did dana want to risk it getting stopped abruptly... -
That fight gets stopped 8 out of 10 times. But It was a championship fight so I think the ref made the right call. Almost reminds me of Diego Corrales vs Jose Luis Castillo (Corrales - Castillo was 100 times better), The ref could have stopped that figth as well but he let it continue and the turn around happened.
-
fedor would get broken in half if he fought brock, smaller, weaker, hits no where as hard as carwin... Fedor just has nothing thats a threat to Brock at all. The only ? about Brock before tonight was his chin, which was Fedors only chance, as Fedor has great technical striking, but Brock just proved he may have the best chin in MMA.

Brock by GNP or sub -
fights like this get stopped 4/7 times easily.
weak choke to tap on if i was carwin. rogans commentary was spot on. -
daniele lurusso tho
-
Fedor would not be able to handle Carwin, let alone Brock. Tonight we were treated to a FANTASTIC Main Event, for a change. Brock gets jacked in the first round, and Carwin shows his inexperience by trying to finish it quickly, and gassing that huge frame.
Brock took some early damage, but covered up very well, to minimize the bombs Carwin was dropping. He tried kicking Carwin off on a number of occasions, while rolling into Carwin at other times. Many of Carwin's strikes were either blocked, or slipped by Lesnar. Virtually the entire time he was down, he was active, and therefore "intelligently defending" himself. Rosenthal is probably the best ref working UFC cards, after Herb Dean. He was on top of the melee the whole time. No one in my circle thought about a stoppage during the entire round, and neither did the ref. I am satisfied . . .
Simply put, the arm triangle finish, was pure Couture. I said, after the Herring fight, that if Brock learns to transition from a dominant position to submission attempts he will be nigh impossible to stop. Well, look out world, Brock is learning submissions.
The age of Fedor is OVER. Brock Lesnar is the King of the Heavies, and looks to be very comfortable on his throne.
Having said that, Velaszquez and JDS both have a puncher's chance to take the strap, but that is about all
Care to elaborate? The bar I was at was too loud for me to hear the commentary. Personally, I thought Brock had it locked up pretty well . . . -
In the post-fight interview, Carwin told Rogan that he had enough room to breathe until Lesnar "turned the corner", and at that point he started to black out so he tapped. Which was exactly what Rogan had said in his commentary.
On another note, I can't believe anyone is calling Lesnar the best ever, like Milkman did. If he was the best ever, he wouldn't have spent most of the first round on his back trying to stop his face from being pushed through the back of his skull. He survived a brutal onslought and made a great comeback. Appreciate it for what it was and all it was. No need to swing from his testes declaring thyself King of the Jungle. -
It's good that Lesnar swallowed his pride in the 2nd round and took Carwin down (like he should of done in the 1st) because his stand up game was NOT working. It's a + to see though that Lesnar can face major adversity and still pull out the victory. Needless to say this fight proved two things, Shane will make hamburger meat out of just about anyone and Brock is an absolute animal.
All in all a great night of fights and a worthy PPV -
Two things.
1) it wasn't a weak tap. That is simply how the arm triangle works. It.it doesn't sink until you walk it up the shoulders. Another thing about that sub is that it neutralizes any strength. I know it looks like carwin didn't even try to fight out, but it is hard to fight out of.
2) shut up about Fedor already. He would get worked by either fighter in last nights main. Brock's chin is too good for him and carwin would kill him if he tried to bang with him. -
Brock shot for a takedown in the first minute of the fight and Carwin stuffed it. After that he got tagged and was defending the rest of the round. He was able to actually get the takedown at the start of the second round because Carwin was so gassed.

Great fight. The heavyweight division is incredibly competitive right now, though I still think JDS is the only other fighter besides Carwin that has a shot against Brock. -
What an asshole post. I hadn't shipped because I have a social life and was at a party last night. I just woke up hungover as hell and am shipping now. I really don't appreciate this post.
-
FWIW, I kind of agree with PoWda here. I will definitely be calling foul if I don't get payment soonish (not from POWDA) , but I am not lookin to out someone the morning after a fight.
-
Per PM's I sent to both Kysupr3macy and Diggs I am now, after being called out for not making a transfer withing an hour or whatever, having issues with the transfer. I have funds and have made 100's of transfers in the past but for whatever reason stars won't let me make a transfer. I have emailed support. I have sent both people I owe detailed PM's with screenshots showing I have the funds, stars wont let me transfer, and that I have emailed support. Just wanted to post that I am having transfer issues before I get called out again. I have your money, I will pay your money, I just have to get stars to let me make a transfer.
p.s. I am so fucking glad Shane beat Brocks face in before that fight ended. One thing is certain now, I fucking HATE Brock Lesnar now. -
Wow I can't believe KY made that post about you not snapfuck paying. I'd give a few days before I even PM'd the person.
-
Yeah he PM's me saying "why havn't you shipped the money yet" or some shit like that. remind me after I get him paid to never book with him again. On top of that, I tried posting on my phone last night like 5 times that I would ship in the morning but I was wasted and it wasn't working for some reason. Anyway, I wake up and am hungover as shit and late to work and I have that PM and this thread. BS. Ticked me off pretty good. Wish stars wasn't being retarded right now tho.

FACK!
Stars just replied with the following. I am also PMing this to the people I owe. Total B.S. I have no idea when they started doing his, I used to be able to deposit and transfer right away. WTF.
As you may already know, when you make a deposit via Instant eChecks, the
funds are immediately credited to your pokerstars account. Note that these
funds can be withdrawn from your personal bank account anytime after a
successful deposit is completed. In some cases, for a number of reasons,
banks do not honor these deposits and a return is sent to us.
In order to reduce the number of echeck returns we receive, a new security
system has been implemented. Limits have been introduced in terms of the
number of transactions and dollar values of echeck deposits, which can be
made at any one time. All deposits are considered cleared in our system
after a waiting period of 10 calendar days from the date of your deposit,
even if the funds were withdrawn from your bank account before or after this
period.
Your Instant eCheck deposits are due to clear the system by July 14, 2010.
You are able to spend the uncleared deposits at the tables, however you may
not cash out or request cash transfers, unless you have a balance that is
greater than the total of your uncleared echeck deposits. Any portion of
your balance that is more than the total of your uncleared deposits, may be
used normally including cashouts and transfers.
Furthermore, if an Instant eChecks deposit is not honored by your bank, and
is returned as unpaid, other restrictions will apply to future echeck
deposits. These restrictions may include not having access to all or part of
your funds in your available balance; only until your current or future
echeck deposit(s) clear. Please consider these restrictions when depositing
via Instant eChecks and note that other deposit methods are not affected by
these limitations.
Should you require further information on this matter, feel free to contact
us back.
