  1. First bet that I like I'm taking Keith Jardine at +150 vs Wandi Siliva. Jardine is a good stand up fighther and thats the fight Silva is going to offer him. Jardine is comming off a win vs. Liddel and Jardine dosn't get the respect he deserves. I think the fight is a coinflip theirfore I think Jardine at plus 150 offers great value.

Second fight is the Penn Vs. Sherk fight. Sherk was as impressive and dominate as anyone during his past fights before the suspension. Penn has also been very impressive since his "re dedication" to the MMA game. I really think this fight could go either way, but I gotta give the edge to Sherk due to his supperior cardio and wrestiing. I think Sherk losses the first 3 rounds then BJ gasses and Sherk is able to lay, pray, ground and pound just enough to get a late stoppage. I gotta take Sherk at +190.

In future MMA fighting Cole Miler is -115 vs. Jorge Gurel. Load up on Cole Miller that is a lock.
  2. Ortiz +170? he's a name fighter. I am to assume that Machida is actually under valued at -210?
  3. Probably, but Ortiz might be able to lay on him for the 3 rounds and get a win that way. I'd say its right at value.

  4. FWIW, I watch this stuff when available, but i won't pay for it on tv. . .i've been to an event live here in vegas, pretty cool. . . .but i've been able to bet this stuff fairly well just by watching the spike tv all day special preceeding the event. they don't tell you who's gonna win, but there are definite undertones and they do show you all the past events as the lead-up. had lesnar losing his first fight. . .had rampage beating liddell. . .
  5. LOL @ Sherk beating PENN

Penn by late 1st rnd rear naked choke.
  6. The Dragon will DESTROY what is left of Tito Ortiz. The fight will not make it more than 2 minutes into the second round, if it goes THAT far.

Penn will beat Sherk by submission, but I give Sherk the guts and cardio to last 3 rounds, at least. Hell, Joe Daddy made it out of the first, didn't he?

Cole Miller is a joke who is about to be exposed.

Jardine might beat Silva, but only if he keeps it on the feet. If Wandi takes hime down, it's over. Silva's ground game is far superior (read: he has one).
  7. I agree with most of what you are saying,Milo.

    not sure about machida/ortiz yet.

    Penn will win by sub.

    Cole Miller...not impressive,IMO.

I think Jardine may beat Silva....Silva in pride is NOT silva in UFC and Jardine has been impressive.
  8. the only pick of urs i like is cole......Penn is prob going to win and the silva/jardine fight will be close but i like silva

    Silva

    Penn

    Cole
  9. I'm pumped for this card, it seems so stacked and I can't wait for saturday.
  10. Machida is 12-0, and not against mid-card stiffs. He trains like his Dad will whip his ass if he slacks, mostly because his ol' man WILL whip his ass. He will dominate Ortiz like some 'banger on a white-collar perp. Ortiz is looking to stick it to Dana, but that is not enough motivation (IMO). Next stop for Tito, after the hospital and Jenna's bed, is DREAM, where you're never too much of a has been. Just ask Cro-Cop.

Jardine wins if the fight stays up. I cannot recall him exhibiting a ground game of any sort, and his takedown defense is nowhere near as good as Chuck's. Yes, he's been on a bit of a roll of late, but that has been against fighter's who match up well for him. I do not see that in Silva, who at least has the ability to work on the ground. I see this fight standing for the first round, and going 10-9 to Jardine. The next two rounds will be Silva trying to work inside and take Keith down. If it works, Silva wins. If Jardine's defense is good enough, he will eke out a decision. Either way, the winner of this fight gets blown away by Machida to set up a title fight with the winner of Rampage / Forrest.

BJ Penn has too much of everything for Sherk to do more than put up a good fight. Still, he has the same shot every other fighter does (a la Serra). This does not mean I am putting him that far down in the odds, just that I think he will need to capitilize on the slightest mistake from BJ, and do it in devastating fashion, to win.
