This censorship or ban has come about due mostly to the fact the German's seem to find grounding and striking an opponent to be "undignifying" and not only is it violating human dignity it is, glorifying violence, apparently more so than other combat sports, considering it's the only one to receive this "censorship".

Considering boxing is still very big in Germany, I find it hard to say only MMA would be glorifying violence anymore than boxing or kickboxing. Forgive me as well for being a bit skeptical on the "undignified" claim, human dignity is very important to me, but the land of "hot carls" and "bukkake" porn really has no place to be speaking of degrading behavior and I find it ironic they use that principal to justify condemning a legitimate sport. Thoughts?

MMA is not banned from broadcasting anywhere in Canada. However Ontario has refused to "sanction" MMA at this time, therefore what we know as MMA in Ontario would be considered a "prize fight" which is illegal under section 83 of Canada's criminal code, and must be sanctioned to be considered a non-prize fight.

This is just a law that has been around for a long time, and unfortunately MMA has fallen under it's jurisdiction, and the process has already begun to allow MMA to come to Ontario. Canada does not oppose mixed martial arts or do they claim it's glorifying violence or robbing humans of their dignity, they simply have some vague laws in different provinces that make sanctioning MMA very hard to do overnight.
