I'm biased as fuck.
We're pretty damn strong this year. AZ has looked solid too, and the last time we played in the desert we lost by like 15 touchdowns in Tempe......
Have a few friends putting their whole rolls on Hawks......... I don't really bet games but would mortgage my condo on Iowa.
Thoughts??
Either way, Tucson won't know what hit it after Saturday night. Pussy Pac 10 schools don't really know how to do a game from what I've seen.
Anyone want to hang and tailgate, PM me. We should have a nice spread happening.
Go Hawks! -
Arizona is the most underrated team in the country

Iowa is the most overrated team in the country
Kiss your condo goodbye.
Obv I am not biased, even though I go to UofA.
Every once in a great while, I am correct, and this is clearly one of those times.
Fuck Iowa. Go cats. -
Iowa is twice as good defensively as any Pac10 school is, defense simply does not exist in the Pac 10 (unless you are playing a team with horrible offense like UCLA or Wazzu). The real question here is whether Iowa's offense can do anything and if they make any mistakes. If Iowa plays a mistake free game, they will win. If not, they will lose. More curious to see the O/U number because I think this is screaming for under, I'd be a buyer at around 45.5.
-
Doubt Iowa's faggish Big 10 defense will be able to handle Nick Foles' sub-atomic-level--of-precision passes that rapes on such an intense level it makes threading a surgical needle during open heart surgery look like clumsy childsplay by comparison. His passes will be nailing Juron Criner between the numbers 100.0% of the time. Boomshakalaka imho. Not to even mention Grigsby at RB, backed up by Antolin and co.
Iowa is going DOWN down down DOWN down down DOWN down DOWN down DOWN down down DOWN down down DOWN down DOWN down Down down down (sung to the tune of the piano music from the movie Halloween, for added emphasis) -
Are you on campus now mang? I'm not on here nearly as much anymore. Last I knew you were in Cali.
B, if you are around, you are welcome to our tailgate. It would be nice for you to see what a real party is like before a game, Pac 10 country you really don't get much of it. Speaking of which. Please tell me if I'm wrong here, and PLEASE let me know what lot to go to if I am wrong, but can you not drink while tailgating until 2:00.........!!!?? WTF So weak, but whatever. Beer is on me if you wanna hang. Bring whatever you want to grill.
So, both the offensive and defensive lines of Iowa are much better than UofA. Let's just start there, even though we don't need to go much further. Foles does scare me, not gonna lie. Your O line better play off their ass, and protect him though. You won't run for much on us.
Neither of us have played anyone. We pulled the dogs off early in both; each game could have been 50-7ish.
Good luck, your O line needs it.
P.S. -- The Hawks have speed this year too, uh oh. -
I think i speak for most people on here when I say, "Fuck Iowa".
-
I mean, this is pretty much exactly what you said last year...

Going into the Iowa game last year, Nick Foles was a total nobody/unknown for Arizona, and was not our starting QB. Foles didn't get put in until the 4th quarter, and it was only after that happened, when he finally got put in in the 4th quarter, that the coaches and everyone noticed they preferred him to Scott (who was our starting QB at that time, and was total garbage by comparison), so, he became our QB from there on out. And he turned out to be a superb QB, one of the best/most accurate in the entire country. If the Foles we discovered only at the end of/after that game last year would've been what we had gone into the game with, we probably would have won.
This year, we get to go into this game with him as our starting QB who will play for the whole game, instead of just being randomly tossed in in the 4th quarter due to nobody knowing who the fuck he was yet last year at that time, and right now he's better than ever. Thus, it is not the same exact thing as last year, nor even remotely similar, given that Foles is like 29042390482903482 trillion times better than Scott, the QB we went into that game with last year, was.
/people not comprehending that we didn't go into this game with Foles last year -

Iowas band used to play that song at the tip of every bball game...was so sick!!
And btw, Iowa will DOMINATE this game on both sides of the ball. Arizona does NOTHING on either side of teh ball that Iowa doesnt have an answer for.
I'll be willing to put up to 200 on Iowa -1.5 (current line on scoresandodds.com)
Keep hatin' on us.. -
LOL at Iowa being the most overrated team in the country. We are easily at top 5 team, yet we continue to get fucked in the polls just like last year. We dominate the Orange Bowl, return most players, and the two biggest question marks (Stanzi's interceptions and the O-line) look very very good but yet somehow we drop in the coaches poll.

This game is not going to be close, the only way it will be close is if we turn the ball over multiple times AND Foles plays as well as bfactor is promising. -
SFThis. This game will be close until the kickoff, then the Hawks roll 31-10. Maybe we get some respect after this win, and maybe AZ will discover their next QB during garbage time against us.
-
Pretty funny that everyone in this thread is biased as fuck...
That being said, I think this game might be my reemergence into sports betting. Hawks win this game. -
To be fair, I kind of doubt you are a top 5 team.

I freakin hate Iowa with a passion...that being said I think they win easily...Iowa has a great D-Line...Nebraska had a great D-Line last year...look how that turned out

Its rainin tears in iowa city tonight. Play us again, and methinks it will be a dif story. Arizona def played well tonight, but still believe were a better team. We also have a better fan base... walking out at half time to have a cig and hearing all the chants and rants for iowa was nuts. Doubt any party school is like ours, and dont worry ive been to many... oi this game, as long as we beat ohio state ill be happy. Could have had a shot at national championship if things went right, but they would for us to have any chance.

I'd like to thank Iowa for participating in the 2010 NCAA Football Season. There's always next year boys.

Way to find that silver lining!
