Unlock a Cell Phone help ?

    does anyone here have an unlocked cell phone ? i have a palm treo 750 and travel outside of the country quit a bit. Was wanting to know if anyone here has unlocked their phone and if so what is the major benefit of unlocking ?

    unlocking your phone lets you use that phone on any GSM network so if you travel outside of the country you can get a prepaid sim card from a cell provider in that country. if you have cingular they will usually unlock the phone for you if you call customer service and let them know you're going out of the country.

Uber robots.
