  1. Here's a song some of you may have heard that I decided to do a pure acoustic interpretation of (aka no singing), and it is based off the song "Her Morning Elegance" by Oren Lavie. The original song can be found here (the video is awesome too btw):

Another reason I'm posting this is just how long it took me to finish, so it feels good to finally be done and to be able to share it.

A little run through of the process it took to get this done:
    1) figure out a tuning on the guitar that makes every part of the song playable. This part was tricky but the initial 3 notes that start 10 seconds into my video helped me determine the 3 high strings. The 3 lower strings took some experimenting, but ended up getting lucky and found something that worked. (the tuninng is Eb Gb Eb F C eb)
    2) had to figure out the swingy bass line and then tab it out. I use a program called guitar pro which lets you tab out whatever you want and it will play it back for you. I recommend this to any serious guitar player its about 50$ or free if u illegally download.
    3) After the bass line is established i had to figure out the melody which includes the singing melody. This took alot of sitting down with the guitar and just finding the notes Oren was singing by singing them myself and waiting til the guitar and my voice matched up.
    4) Once the melody and the bass line were established, I had to lay them on top of eachother on the tab making sure no notes lied on the same string making it unplayable. Then i just had to figure out which notes were played by themselves and which were played together to make it work. As you can see in the video this took alot of right hand tapping on the fretboard to actually make this playable.
    5) I just repeated this process for the rest of the song included the chorus (which took forever) and eventually had a final product.
    6) Lastly i had to actually learn what i wrote and then be able to play it all the way through on video without too many major mistakes. Again this took a while too so I hope you guys enjoy.

I wouldnt be posting this but getting alot of comments lately so figured it might actually be pretty good and worthwhile to share.
