no not this kind of tether...

this kind of tether:
http://appworld.blackberry.com/webstore/content/5022
anyone have any experience with it? good? bad? i googled, read reviews, etc etc and there are some mixed messages. most are pretty happy with the ease of use and convenience of the app. some people complained about speeds, but what can you expect from a wireless phone signal? what i'm most worried about are the reviews here and there about how verizon cancelled their contracts and made them pay an early termination fee. definitely don't want that happening...
i used the verizon brand tethering software while i was in the fire academy and that worked fine, but i think it's 30-40 bucks a month and there is a cap of 5gb. i easily went over that while streaming world cup games and had to fight to not pay an overage.
the tether is a one time fee of 25-50 bucks depending on when you purchase it, and uses the "unlimited" phone data plan... -
this is pending Plattsburgh Award Committee Review

From my understanding of the tether app, it does not give you unlimited data. It just masks the fact that youre tethering. In another words, Verizon will think you're just using the data on your phone. It will still be a 5g cap.
