I say Van Roth.
Mostly because the band Van Halen is not legendary because of their lead man, they are legendary because of the man of the hour, the man who took a breakthrough approach to the axe...................Eddie fuckin Van Halen.
And Eddie rocked so fucking harder with Roth, compared to Haggar, where it was more of the, I'm a father now, but I'll still make some records with this washed up tequila head just to fund my great great great grandchildrens college education.
Ain't talkin bout love- classic
Right Now- classic(ly made for cheesy high school assembly's)
Unchained- rocked the party that rocked the body
Why can't this be love- silly song for a 90's christian slater romance flick
Jump- ok, you got me here
so lets hear it straight from the most diverse group of internet forum'ers, Van Roth, or Van Haggar?

-
Van Neither
-
both
roth for some hard core rock n roll
hagar for some high energy rock n roll -
Gotta go with Diamond Dave.

Remember a few years back how they did the "reunion" tour (with no EVH)? Well I went to the concert in Montage Mountain (PA), and Hagar completely stole the show. He was so much better than DLR and it wasn't even close. He even had these super hot "waitresses" come out and give him Cabo Wabo in the middle of the show.
But, DLR is kinda old and grumpy now, so that could have something to do with it. -
Both. Unchained is my favorite song of all time, but 5150 is my favorite VH album.

Roth was a better showman. Haggar had a better voice.
