    I had this done yesterday. The bottom of my shaft and balls are purple and it feels like I got kicked in the sack. Is this normal, or should I be concerned?

    I definitely wouldn't ask to doctor who did the vasectomy this question, you don't want to bug him. My opinion is abnormal

    So they tie your tubes so that the sperm that should be released into your semen is blocked.

    So my question is where does the sperm go? Does it just sit there and die? Does it get backed up and rot?

    The whole concept seems wrong.

    I'm NEVER EVER getting this done... I hate condoms more than anything else in the world, but I would rather wear one than have a vasectomy.

    They cut the tubes and then burn the ends (smelled like burning hair). Tubes were bigger than I thought, about the size of macaroni before it's cooked. Balls continue to make the baby batter, it just gets absorbed back into your body.

    Need to keep the area iced down. Helps with the swelling. Use frozen corn or peas in a ziploc bag. Helps conform to the shape of the guys.

    I have had thhis done. No problems with mine at all. Just stay in bed all weekend with ice pack on ur balls. Dont lift anything heavy for the next week or so. I had some bruseing but not the whole area. Good luck. After you are shooting blanks its all worth it.

    Also read the link. Mine only cost 40 bucks after my insurance. Not a g!

    There's a reason that it's easier/safer for the guy to get fixed than it is for the girl. I don't remember what that reason is off the top of my head though. When my ex had our last kid, I remember distinctly her asking the doc to tie her tubes after the birth but he refused to do so because she was too young?

    Same thing happened with me. It's normal. You'll feel fine in a week.

    Just try to not do anything strenuous. I was picking up my kids and it was the worst decision ever. My balls almost turned black.

    I have had my chest opened up multiple times, my neck vertebrae fused and my knee reconstructed.... but I really do not want to ever have a fuckin' vasectomy.

    I did not know this. I know a few people that have had this done but had never heard this.

    Last year I learned a dog gets pregnant AFTER she's in heat, not during. If I learn one more thing I'm pretty sure I'll know everything.

    I read that story, but still had one done. I think the one he had was the old-school kind were they use a hammer and nail. mine was only maybe a half hour, and barely any pain at all. you feel a bit sore for about a week, and then that's it. not a bad deal for lifetime protection.

    plus one of the upside people don't think about, is you can become a rapist and never get caught- no DNA left behind.
